I had a similar experience. They are crap! I specified how I wanted the product made and it showed up in a total different color and stitching. I paid for expedited 4 day FED EX shipping and I got the product 3.5 weeks later. They told me I ordered the wrong part. Luckily I screen-shotted my order and the instructions I sent. They denied that was what I ordered..........WTF I sent a screen shot of my order and the email you sent.? It showed up via DHL, like I said, 3 weeks later. I asked why the change in shipper and was told "why do you care"? I don't know maybe because I paid $40 for 4 day shipping via FED EX and It was sent 3 weeks late via DHL and the whole time I couldn't drive my car because I had removed the wheel and cover.

Most of the big manufacturers lock the software so you have to go to a dealer/ shop licensed by ford to make the system software corelate. Make sure the way the electrical connection doesn't void your warranty.

I order a Sync 4 for my Explorer. Alot of problems. The APIM was from a 2021 Edge but programmed to an Ford Mustang. I got the system working but had another guy program an F-150 APIM with Nav. I did get $300 back from them.

Another design flaw...the windshield trim and gutter cover...both collect dirt, hole water and rust through the A pillar and bottom corner of the glass. Check the bottom of the front door frame(under the kick panel trim) from the inside...It will fill with water from the leaks...and yes the delaminated glass is one leak...did on mine to. Do you have a video of what you had to repair on the windshield body flange?

Im trying to figure out how to put a 12" screen in my 2017 F250 So I can't wait for your video on how to program the APIM . The scam website you speak of sell a 12" screen kit with the dash conversion parts for 2017-2022 F250 . I don't want to take a chance dealing with them but so far they are the only company I've seen that offers this kit.. Do you have any suggestions on how or where I can get those parts so it will look like a factory install? My truck has the 4" screen and sync 1. There are a couple company's that sell the conversion kits for going from a 4" to 8" screen and sync 1 to sync 3 which requires a conversion wiring harness like the one you were modifying but I'd much rather have the 12"screen if it can be done. I was already trying to figure out how to source the parts and program the APIM myself to save some money instead of buying one of those kits so I'm really looking forward to your video on how to do that with fourscan.

Sir you are so right about the Fordsync4 site. Wish you had made this video in September. I have been trying to get a refund from them since October. The product looked like it was pride out of the vehicle with a crowbar, screen was a mess and bottom pins were cut off with a razor knife, What a mess. When I wanted to return it they just started senting me bad engish emails that made no sense and finale a video to install that the got from a Maverick truck club member..I have been going through the credit card company for a refund and will see how that goes. You are the best and most down-to-earth, more mature gentleman. Thanks for the information on how to upgrade. The physical end I could handle, not so sure about the programming. I have done a little, but this maybe more than I could handle. Thanks again for the info doing these videos.

So can you use a 12in F150 basic screen off Amazon? Or do you need the different black backing from the transit to help fit correctly?

Nice videos - waiting on the next two parts. One tip for your soldering: you will get better joints if you heat the parts (wires in this case) rather than the solder itself. When the parts are at temp, touching the solder to them will cause it to flow nicely in and around, creating a strong bond and avoiding a cold solder joint. It might never be a problem, but it will make your projects come out that much better.
