Man... I feel a little bummed... Im 53... just starting out... kinda got ahead of myself thinking i was doing the right thing. I PURCHASED Cash money... 2023 F600 (75k)and a 2024 40ft air ride mega ramps deck over Maxx D 40000 gvr (53k) trailer.. and in the process of bringing truck to roadmaster to put a sleeper cab on it (30k) .. plus ive already purchased all my trailer equipment including tarps ect. (4K) have filed for my LLC and working on Mc, dot and insurance now. I dont plan on getting on the road for at least 2 months but after getting all this ready im seeing more and more about this mc authority needs to mature. I just sold my company of 36 years.... im not broke by any means... But this has been a long term standing goal for me for a long time. Long time... i want to see past florida.... I have my cdl A... its going to happen... i just hope I can figure out how to get some loads to get moving. Your videos are huge for me.... You actually go into great detail. Im a super organized person.... ive run my company by the book for 36 years , cranes, grapple trucks, huge equipment... I know i can handle the maintenance and all thats to it. Really appreciate the time in what your posting. I know how hard your pushing and to post videos on top of that.... you be busy!

I know it fell. They said it was a rod bearing on the number six piston. Which is weird because those are all brand new. They think an injector might’ve hung open and flooded out the cylinder because I had diesel fuel in my oil.
@alvinmann76753 күн бұрын
@TRTHotshot Hmmm. So did they replace that injector and test the other 5?

There’s no disrespect. When I started I could not get financing for a semi. Credit was there. No trucking experience. So unfortunately I had to make do. There are a lot of people in the same situation as I am with this. So if I come across information that I can share that’s what this is about. Im shooting for a semi now.

Is it a diesel? Regardless it’s all in what you’re hauling. I know someone who has a gas truck and does power only. Just hooks up to a trailer and goes.

Your correct to really get into hot shot and make money six wheel single axle semi with a sleeper headache rack two hundred fifty gallon tanks one on each side saddle with extra tool boxes both sides half bed then fifth wheel with goose neck adapter stability is the key good sleep love that trailer man it’s the bomb your 100% right space is how it’s done and remember make sure that truck can tow the top amount of weight for that trailer and get spare tires not a bad idea for a winch for the bottom bed stationary top maybe get a movable winch for giving you that extra strength remember you got to save your strength to drive tarp and bungee leave the straining for the winches. And if that’s not enough truck get a two axle semi. Big Cummins or a Detroit 12.7 is good 60 series motor. Truck it up man

Notice the hydraulic lifter failure on my fifth GEN way early on before the first oil change on the 2019 cab high output. I couldn’t even find a shop that even knew that the Cummings engines came with hydraulic lifters now couldn’t find a technician in Florida that would even replace the broken lifter under warranty. I started dumping motor coat in the engine to quite the noise. I don’t do hotshots for living, but I do travel all over the state of Florida for business towing Boats to our repair facility. I had to wait a year in about 100,000 miles later to find a technician in Pennsylvania. That’s actually dumb lifter swap a few times successfully we decided to put Hamilton cam and do a Wagler hydraulic kit. 50,000 miles after doing the Wagler kit we noticed the train to be extremely noisy and roller. And the valve was getting out of spec a few times. We are now bought a used engine out of a 20,000 mile rollover and are doing the Hamilton solid lifter conversion. I will never buy another product ram or Cummings to me. Their name is shit. This is worse than any power stroke. I’ve ever owned at least with my 6.7 power stroke when the engine blows it cost me 15 grand get a new one I spent more than 15,000 for used engine because the dealers are charging 40 grand for a new one this truck is disposable.

What are you hauling that you can fill up a 53’ trailer and not be over weight with that Dodge?
@TRTHotshot3 күн бұрын
We make money on deck space. Not weight. None of the 3500-5500 can really carry weight. I can scale 18k. We set our filters for 18k and all the loads that weight or less pop up.

How come gas doesn't come out of the gas cap when both are full?
@TRTHotshot2 ай бұрын
Because there is an over flow line on the inside of the fender. If they are both full and you park un-level it will flow out of over flow.

@2020HotShotTruckingLLC2 ай бұрын
When my HS truck cracked a piston, I drove it another 600+ miles to deliver my load and stopped short of the Florida scales and AG station as I didn't want an OOS on my record. Had a friend drive down to get me and returned with my daily driver to haul it home on my trailer. If that wasn't possible, I'd have booked it thru a broker as a PO load. If I were in your shoes, I'd be looking for a sleeper semi. The comfort level is a HUGE difference! The load I just dropped had me grossing over 77K and it was easy, even taking I-64 south thru WV and over Fancy Gap on I-77. I do miss driving my hotshot because of how I could get in and out of many more places, but certainly don't miss the mountain climbing, breakdowns and limited space!
