Perhaps not caught on camera but you appeared to make no attempt to look out into the approach before joining the runway. ALWAYS check the sky before joining a runway!

The P51 represents the American & English Superiority in the air during WW2....in the face of all that was evil in the world at that time. A masterpiece of engineering where the men who flew the P51 into battle had the most graceful and victorious warbird!

The plane that won the war. All planes helped but the P-51 turned the tide

On my first trip to The Philippines in 1979 I was blessed to fly from Clark AFB in Manila to Cubi Pt NAS in Subic Bay on a C47. A great memory. I didn’t fully appreciate the history at the time. Would love to do it again sometime. I also got to see and board an old Ford Tri Motor in the mid 80’s, although I didn’t get to fly in it. Learned to fly in a 1964 Piper Colt. (And Cessna 150’s and 172’s). I love Ercoupes although I never got to fly one of those either. Love that aviation history. Thankful for these and many other blessings. God is good.

Nice of you to takeoff before landing traffic, I would've waited because of wake turbulence and traffic separation.

Great job. I flew the military version (TH-55) of this great helicopter while going warrant officer training in Ft. Rucker in the early 80s. We didn't have an instrument panel that fancy, but it worked. I went on to fly the OH-6 (Hughes 500) and the Huey, but this little helicopter was fun, and learning the autos with a power recovery like you did, was great. I was hoping to eventually buy one of the TH-55 once they were going on surplus, but didn't have the financial backing at the time. Great video.

Can someone explain why the co-pilot flips off the magneto's for a split second two times at 35:06? Trying to figure out what that would be needed for after landing.

Does anyone else have a firey hatred for seeing modern instruments/avionics and equipment in vintage and antique aircraft? The FAA shouldn't have the authority to dictate that certain equipment be installed on older planes. It should be all original, through and through.
