26:00 "According to some studies, the Himalayan glaciers are retreating on a global level." Wait, what? WTH are you even trying to say in here? 😅 Himalayan glaciers consists of glaciers that are in the Himalayan region... And Himalayas are already between many countries... This is moronic to say. It is like, "oh, when it rains, water falls from the skies!" And by "extended period of time" what is that? 1 week? 1 month? 100 years? 1000 years? How old is the pyramids again?

That was pretty bold of Noam Chomsky, to double down on his armchair theories by going against science. Who does he think is going to win in the end? He may have a position of superior authority now, but accusing a researcher of fabricating evidence could not in any potentiality make such evidence disappear forever. Other linguists will study the tribe, and science will eventually come to the correct conclusion. So why lash out like that? Maybe Chomsky is worried about his crumbling legacy. If universal grammar arises from the idea of an innate biological nature to language, yet we already have non-biological machines that can simulate speech, then it's not looking good for the theory. Science is supposed to be testable, isn't that the definition? My hypothesis can be falsified, would have been the right response to give. Asserting a theory, in contrast, is not the scientific approach. If Chomsky takes the position that his theories can't be falsified, then that's worse than being wrong. That's basically admitting he's not doing science. Why is anyone listening to Chomsky as if he's ordained? How can scientists hear such an accusation, and still take him seriously?

That is indeed the English translation, but we may be falling into the same trap we experience when we attempt to visualize the 4th dimension--there's no really good way to experience it! Hopefully Everett or someone (in the future!) can respond to your observation...

stop there. the fact that just 1 language has no recursion does not make nullify a universal human nature. as desmond morris already said, if one people of some remote and obscure place act different that does not constitute the norm but an exception. this tribe had no cultural influences and that explain its differentiation at some point. besides genes are no static and interact with environment internal and external. conclusion, there is no real problem here and chomsky has no authority for speaking in the name of neroethology.
@homolixКүн бұрын

I truly hope you will expand on this research. There are 4 main points of you could expand: 1. How the man lost his religion, 2. How wild it is to have a language with only the present tense, 3. The explanation of how recursion in language is not always required, 4. How DNA could code for language. The conflict and resolution would be great to know.

@louriasКүн бұрын
What does it matter if there is a God? Since they only live in the present, there is no need for an afterlife hope of heaven or fear of hell. I venture to say that if more people lived in the present, and stopped attempting to compete with the "Jones'," more people would be happier than the ever could imagine.

Plants play a very large and complex role in our lives, humans, animals, and insects. In fact, if these plants were not there, the lives of some creatures would be destroyed. Their need for soil and light has led to human studies on plants. Today, humans are still researching and studying plants to understand their structures so that they can prevent what causes their destruction. Some plants have always been interesting to humans because of their beauty, some because of their role in human nutrition, and some are used for livestock. It is worth noting that some plants are ancient survivors, meaning their age goes back several thousand years. Thank you for your film. Be sustainable and consistent. Don't forget to like and like us. Please don't
