Most of our drinking is social/cultural. It's often a sort of cope mechanism from living in societies we did not evolve to live in. This mismatch can have consequences for human well-being. Our evolved psychology may not be well-suited to modern societies, leading to feelings of disconnection, stress, and anxiety. Additionally, the pace of cultural change can outstrip our ability to adapt, potentially leading to maladaptive behaviors and beliefs.

Animals love to catch a buzz! I've seen birds get drunk on berries that got left on the vines too long in the sun and birds were fighting over them. Beer Beatles live in pubs in England, that survive by drinking up the spilled drops of beer. They drink beer until they pass out, wake up, doing it over and over all day. With weed, my dad had some plants in the forest and any animal or insect that found it would eat it.

a fewI tried to search for your beer beatles. I found 2 things 1- A Beatles superfan, Lee Baker, claimed to have seen John Lennon’s face in the foam of a freshly poured pint of beer at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, a legendary landmark where the band performed. This unusual sighting felt like a sign to Baker and his friends. 2- Beer Beetles is a unique Belgian beer brand that incorporates protein from insects into its brewing process. 3- Julodimorpha bakewelli This Australian buprestid beetle has a peculiar habit of mating with beer bottles, earning it the nickname "beer beetle." 4- Glischrochilus Also known as picnic beetles or beer bugs, these sap-feeding and predatory beetles (Nitidulidae, subfamily Cryptarchinae) are commonly found in association with beer and other fermented beverages.

I've seen a flock of robins get drunk on wild grapes that had fermented over winter. Unfortunately there were quite a few lying dead in the road after crashing into cars.

If for a mouse, the reaction to alcohol is similar to a human animal, then do mice actually get pleasure out of the consumption of alcohol? Or can the sense of pleasure even be measured by scientists? And since ethyl alcohol is a depressant, why does it give pleasure to humans, and or mice?

Monkeys , mice and fruit Flys are not humans. These studies are suggestive but not definitive.....genetics probably play a role but cultural practices and environment are huge factors as well. Alcohol is responsible for huge societal costs.. and should be considered as dangerous as Meth and heroin but is so ubiquitous and accepted in all cultures that it will always be seen as normal and necessary.. so sad...

Amarula fruit it's called. The video was filmed in Okavango delta in Botswana. The fruit is also used to make an alcoholic beverage that's named after it.

Alcohol is poison, at any dose.
@VagaBond-m6wАй бұрын
Not at ANY dose, it is NOT. At small doses, it has health BENEFITS. Go take a pharmacology course before you spout off to the entire world. And if we're going by your narrowly defined version of "poison", so are many medications for chemo. Nicotine is a poison, water in great quantities is a poison, and salt in great quantities is a poison. Yes, BOTH salt AND water, in great enough quantities have killed humans before. Aspirin and Tylenol are also "poisons" that can kill in the wrong dose, so should we label those poisons as well?! The Paracelsus Principle says that ANYTHING can be a poison or a benefit, depending on DOSE, so get your sh!t straight before you argue online with the entire world and spread b.s.
