will does this work to get rid of forearm tingleness and numb sensation?
@victoryspineandsport
@victoryspineandsport Ай бұрын
It would depend on what is actually causing those symptoms. Sometimes nerves in the forearm can stop "sliding and gliding" well through the tissues of the forearm. If that's the case then this could be something that could help out. A great example of this is with the median nerve on the palm side of the forearm being entrapped by a muscle called the pronator teres. This muscle can sometimes compress the median nerve and mimic carpal tunnel like symptoms. When that is the case, releasing the pronator teres with this style of self myofascial release can be really helpful! Hope this helps!

About 6 months ago my right forearm got tight over what seems like a week. Since then i've had physio visits, sports massages and used bands and a roller ball and do strtches. Still got the issue! 😭 I havent trained through pain. But thankfully can still do bicep curls, deadlifts and vertical presses. But i can't do much that involves the outside of my forearm.

Sounds like a tough situation to deal with! Usually when I work with people who have an "overuse injury" but still need to use that area for their work I have them do very frequent (3-4x/day) low intensity self myofascial release, gentle exercises with a higher volume (think 2-3 sets 20 ish reps, 3-4 days/wk) and one thing that I really like for extremity issues like the feet or hands/forearms is an ice bath. I have a lot of people who have nagging forarm, wrist, hand, foot issues and to them I have recommended a small bucket with ice water, 30 sec of ice bath repeated 2-3x with a 2-3 min break in-between. They have reported improvement with it and probably a great starting place for a situation like yours. Also always recommend seeing a Dr/physio if possible to get a specific diagnosis and game plan but I hope this helps!

Sir i m from india whenever i do bicep curls my brochioradialis muscle engage more than my biceps which leads to muscle imbalance in my one hand ..what can i do to fix this problem sometimes it also get sore after workout..may be due to tighness or shortness..so can u plz suggest me some stretches and exercises so that i can get rid of this problem
@victoryspineandsport
@victoryspineandsport Ай бұрын
Hi, have you tried doing this to the brachioradialis? Also, if you're engaging that muscle a lot during bicep curls it could be a bit of a form issue. You could videotape yourself doing it and see if there is a difference side to side and self correct or working with a personal trainer is always a great idea. let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions!

Yes sir from both hands i curl with 5 kg dumbell in one hand my brochioradialis muscle doesn't come out but in the other it appears coming out taking all the tension of 5 kg dumbell may be my one hand brochioradialis is bigger or more dominating but there is muscle imbalance due to this ...sir suggest me some exercises or streches on this problem becoz no one on internet make video on this problem..

I did pull-ups after several months yesterday. And seems like my forearms took a lot of load and ever since then my arm stays at an angle 😂 that's how tight they've gotten and they ache if I stretch them. I'll be trying this

Are you supposed to feel this in your quad too
@victoryspineandsport
@victoryspineandsport 3 жыл бұрын
You can definitely feel this in your quad also. Usually it's a quad muscle called the rectus femoris that most people feel it in. Generally, I'm not too concerned with where specifically someone feels it as long as the form is looking good. Usually people only really get into trouble with this stretch when they jump into it too fast!

Hey Doc, Aaron Hulst here. Thank you for the videos, they’re rad. I’ve been dealing with tennis elbow from swinging a hammer, I got an awesome support and I can work with less pain now. Anything else I can do to help heal? Time off isn’t exactly an option. Thanks Dr Henry!
