If you know how to get to Galveston seawall. Make left from 61st and follow all way past the ferry landing is, drive past that and keep going til ends. Parking lot is there. When in doubt google earth it
@RGCfishingg2 ай бұрын
Yea it’s at the very east end of the sea wall. Just head that way till you get to the dead end. Park then pick a rock to go fish on! Good luck out there and be careful for slippery rocks.

i have a go pro 11 and it doesnt let me record 4k with 60 frames, it only lets me record in 30frames for 4k. 1080 if i want 60 fps. im wondering how your able to record 4k in 60 fps.
@RGCfishingg2 ай бұрын
Yea you can only do 30 frames in loop mode. I think it’s to protect the camera from overheating since it records continuously.

Realizing that I am commenting 5 months after the fact, I have to ask, why are you not properly disposing of the line you threw away. It becomes a hazard to birds and turtles. You have lost me as a viewer by one irresponsible act.

@RGCfishingg5 ай бұрын
Yes! It was the A&M Galveston pier. The only way you can go is if you’re invited by a student or faculty member. We were lucky enough to be invited out there for the night.

I never used anything heavier than 12 lb test for speckled trout. My buddy often used 10 lb test. I haven’t been fishing in years but the jetties are a great place to fish when the southeast wind is blowing the green water in close to shore. Everything is so expensive now including licenses, bait, etc. and the slot limits are overly restrictive in my opinion.
@RGCfishingg4 ай бұрын
Yea they have really good eyesight, I’ve found that the thinner(more transparent) the line is the better I do.
@RGCfishingg4 ай бұрын
And yea, this economy is rough, for guys who are going solely for keepers to put fish in the freezer it can be hard to justify spending all that money for 3 fish.

Going to Galveston this weekend for 4 days I have some fishing rods I do bass fishing I’m from Dallas Biggest stoutest rod I have is a leviathan bait casting swimbait rod xxh up to 8 oz lures Anda shimano scorpion jdm Wondering if this is even a good set up and if you could share your spot with me coordinates to be exact. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
@RGCfishingg5 ай бұрын
Just bring what you got! You can catch fish with any setup as long as you play your cards right. Now to be honest with you I haven’t been on the water in a while, but this time last year the red / black drum bite was starting to heat up. You’ll need to be able to throw a pretty decent size rig so you’ll probably be maxing out that 8oz limit. Get some spider weights, nice big circle hook & get live blue crabs to soak. Not sure what the cords are for the spot. But if you drive East down the Sewell eventually you’ll hit a dead end. Park there and you’re at the spot. Anywhere along those rocks is a nice deep channel where big fish hang around. Good luck!

I'm one year too late, I've wanted to fish this place with those wonderful lights on. I have seen other KZbinrs make videos of the bridge at night, for now I have to stick to the darkness. I caught my artificial PB 32" Red here last December. One of my best moments. But yeah I hope someday they can bring those lights back on. Great content and tight lines 👍
@RGCfishingg5 ай бұрын
Thanks brother! And yea it’s a shame they let those lights go unattended to. Back when I was in HS that whole bridge was lit up and you could absolutely kill it night fishing.
