Good morning ladies, I hope you've all had a lovely week:) Today is a chatty catch up sharing all my everyday makeup essentials I've currently using:) Does anyone use the same products? I guess my makeup has changed quite a lot now over 40 and that's probably a good thing compared to my 20s! I much prefer a more natural, glowing and healthy look these days. Please do let me know if anyone's got another eyebrow gel they'd recommend? I found the iconic one on ebay so that's an option but I'd love to hear if there's any briliant new ones I'm not aware of:) Big hugs ladies, and I'm looking forward to catching up with you all below:) Jess

Afternoon Jess, you're beautiful, with, or without make up. I keep mine very simple these days ( less is definitely more in our 60's ). I avoid all powder, just creams here, and prefer a tinted moisturiser. Really enjoyed this video, hope youre well xx 😘

That bronzer looks beautiful! Going silver I thinks it’s time that I pay a visit to a makeup artist for some new colours. This video reminded me of the one where you did your makeup together with your lovely friend. 🫶🏻
@FashionStyleEdit4 ай бұрын
Aah yes that would probably be a good idea if your colouring has changed, are you liking the silver out of interest? I did ask my hairdresser about doing this colour deliberately on my own hair but she did say it's better to wait until it happens naturally for the condition, but I really love the look. Do you still add colour to it ie: more silver to make it more pronounced? Thanks for watching Borg, big hugs:)

@@FashionStyleEdit Hi Jess, I dyed my hair ever since my early thirties. My natural colour was what we call cool blonde, but I dyed it in a warmer colour light gold blonde. Last summer I was fed up with it and stopped dying it cold turkey😆Going from a fairly light blonde to silver turnes out to be very easy, hardly any demarkation lines😊I did feel a little washed out last winter because of gray hair, dark circles under my eyes etc. I wear more lipstick now and I will certainly start using your method of dabbing most of it off👌🏻I’m almost there, so time for new selfies and profile pics😉By the way, I’m 60 years old 🫶🏻Ingeborg

@@borg1964 Hi Ingeborg, I've got a friend who's in the midst of going 'cold turkey' with the grey and I think she's ready to crack haha! I think if you can get through that part you're on the home straight:) I hadn't thought about the washed out look but I guess that makes sense against grey, I found the same when i dyed my hair dark brown again:/ In fact that's why i dyed it back, I didn't like having to wear so much makeup again! It sounds like you're on the right track with it now though and probably quite liberating not have to dye it anymore:) Great to hear your thoughts on this lovely, I shall follow your lead once I get to that stage I think:) Have a lovely week ahead!

Hello 👋🏽 my friend Jess, you look beautiful before and after 😍. Your make tools make a huge difference when applying your makeup. Your technique is right on 👍🏽. I think your blush placement is perfect for your face shape. I wear🌷cream shimmer eyeshadows. I just blend them out more being over 40. Eyebrows are a must have. Lipstick is absolutely perfect. I also recommend BK Beauty makeup brushes. I really enjoyed this video. Thank you 😊. Cheers 😉🌷

Good morning my lovely, how's your week been? So glad you enjoyed today's video, all I'm missing is you all in the room so we can all have a good natter together but I guess the comments section is the next best thing! Glad to hear I'm placing that blusher okay, it feels right and that it lifts my face a little:) And yes totally with you, eyebrows make a huge difference don't they! Mine naturally want to go very horizontally straight across which isn't very lifting so when I use the gel I really feel like it gives my face more shape:) Big hugs gorgeous and hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend, sleep well Angela:)

Enjoyed that and love the finished look. One recommendation, if u r treating yourself- the Lisa Eldrige Skin & Makeup Enhancing Mist (after ur make-up or on bare skin on hols). I thought it maybe was a bit of a gimmick - I don't know how it does it , but it adds a lovely effect and you can spray on again later in the day to freshen the skin. Worth a try if u have the budget ❤

@FashionStyleEdit4 ай бұрын
Hi Lindsay, lovely to hear from you:) I actually did a video on my exercise routine last year I think but it's still pretty much the same now. But essentially I actually use KZbin a lot for it and the videos by Mr and Mrs Muscle. I bought myself some 4kg weights on amazon and a mat and that's about it, you can do the routines from home! Here's the video I did on it but any questions please feel free to ask, I still only do 30 mins about 4-5 times per week, sticking with that amount of time means I seem to keep it up a bit better than times I've tried in the past:) kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHrEhqpqad-iqNEfeature=shared

Morning Jess, you look beautiful before makeup and after. I do really like how natural it looks. I’d love to get my makeup done professionally just to see as I just pop on tinted serum and mascara and that’s it 😂 I add bronzer if I’m going out and like you add to my eyes but other than that I don’t wear anything else. I’m happy with this as my skin is clear it’s just when I go out out or to a special occasion it’ll be nice every now and again to add a little extra. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend. Take care and sending hugs xx

Blush should be applied “high”, and below the eyes, as you do. Exactly as you say, on the “apples of the cheeks”, or right where the cheekbones stick out most. Too many women here in the US apply it as you do your bronzer, which is much too low and too far from the center of the face and the eyes, it never looks natural. Blush should be applied where the sun naturally hits the cheeks, at the “topographical high point”, so to speak. I like your makeup look very well, it’s pretty and natural-looking. If I wear a contour product, though, I choose a more gray, taupe coloring. Too much brown doesn’t look natural with my dominantly “Soft”, cool, and light coloring (Soft Summer) . I’ve never used bronzers for this reason, they are too brown on me. I thought I would like having gray hair, but when it started coming in, I was surprised at how much gray is actually in my skin color. It’s this that gives the Soft characteristic. I decided that for now, age 64, I have my hair dyed to it’s natural, lightest brown/dark blonde color, I think it makes me look younger and healthier. Perhaps when the gray comes in more, and especially the nearly white-blonde of my youth, I might like it better natural. (I didn’t get any pigment in my hair until after about age 6 to 7, even though my eyes are grayish/greenish hazel, not gray or light blue). My gray started coming in late, around age 60, and four years later, there’s still very little, but it’s all right next to my face, of course, where it most affects my skin coloring. My late Mom had beautiful white hair after about 70, too.

I’m not much into makeup as I only wear it on special occasions, but wouldn’t miss one of your videos! All I put on my skin the majority of the time is high-SPF sunscreen and Laniege lip balm. I can’t wear eye makeup at all these days since I developed skin allergies to plastics, even hypo-allergenic brands. It must be the plastic containers used for makeup products, it’s the only explanation I can think of. I mean really, how sensitive can one’s skin possibly be? It negatively affects many aspects of my life, but going around with eyes half swollen shut from allergic reactions is never a good look, it’s just not worth wearing eyeliner and mascara! I wore synthetic-fiber fabrics, makeup of any kind, etc. when young with no problem until about age 40, then my skin went crazy on me. They say these allergies are from long-term daily exposure to plastics. But, plastics are everywhere these days, I can’t see how to prevent this from happening. I wish I hadn’t worn synthetic fabrics, but who could predict this? Thank goodness for silk, cotton, cashmere and linen, without which I would have to go naked!
