I follow this step by step untill the second square i cant slice into the letter i put. I used gateway window 10 laptop. So aggravate when i cant follow all step...

Sorry - I am useless with windows. I always use a Mac. Maybe start at the beginning and see if you missed a step?

I tried using design space on the iPad (before it literally exploded - yep went to use it one day and it was in pieces on the couch, popped open and came apart the same way the first Apple Watch did for many people after a year). I never liked the interface.

Click on the first item. Then hold down the shift key and click on the second item. Then you can do what you like with both of them. Hope this helps.

The heart image you sliced...the slice option doesn't appear for me. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

To slice an object you must have two solid objects. Select both item (select one then hold down the shift key and select another) then your slice option should be available.

How do download and save fonts to your laptop from dafont.com?

how do you save the fonts to your computer? I am having trouble with saving the fonts once I have downloaded them from dafont.com. I also cant find them very easily afterwards either. Newbie here.

yes, you have to download them to your computer. Be sure to exit design space after you have downloaded you font and restart so that the font will show in your list.

This font is free in dafont.com. Yes you can save projects in design space!

go to the menu bar in design space. Under Linetype you will see a box (probably black) click on this and you can change your color. Be sure you have clicked on the item you want to change first.

Holly Berry Design Hello, thank you for responding. The design I am trying to split is not a solid design like your letter M. My design is a silhouette and there are gaps in between. So when I sliced it the square piece that I used to slice my design as you demonstrated in your video took in the absence of my silhouette design. I hope you are able to understand. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I tried my best. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Can you shine any light on my situation? 😂

Several updates ago, I noticed a lot of features would no longer work in design space. I did some research, and found Safari to be the culprit. I started using Firefox to launch design space, and my problems were eliminated.

My Mac doesn't offer these choices either. When I drag the glyph into the text box, it makes a small letter, eg. f or t or r. I bought Madina Script from Creative Market after months of looking at it and now can't use it 😤 I'm about to throw my Mac out the window!

Hello Holly , I’m having an issue where all the fonts I’ve downloaded will not preview on the font window . The only way I can view it is actually click on the font name and add it to my text . Any advice will be great thank you

Eddie510s are you using a Mac? If so, try using Firefox instead of safari when using design space. This will also help with other issues in design space in Mac.
