Tip of the Day - How to use Samantha Font on a Mac (in Cricut Design Space)

Several updates ago, I noticed a lot of features would no longer work in design space. I did some research, and found Safari to be the culprit. I started using Firefox to launch design space, and my problems were eliminated.

Thanks for the video. Very simple to follow. However, I don't see the individual letters in Font Book and fancy glyphs.

My Mac doesn't offer these choices either. When I drag the glyph into the text box, it makes a small letter, eg. f or t or r. I bought Madina Script from Creative Market after months of looking at it and now can't use it 😤 I'm about to throw my Mac out the window!

a little late since you posted this but I don't even show the search bar to type in font book? any tips

I think the latest version of Design Space does not allow you to do it this way anymore...every time I insert my glyph it gives me a diamond with a question mark in the middle. Any tips?

Laurie Lowenheim I just tested this and it worked just fine. I wish I could provide you a better answer. Maybe try closing all browsers and restarting design space?

I noticed the exact same thing. Dragging or copy/paste. I will get a fancy f every time no matter what letter I choose. I get the diamond with the ? mark then it changes to a fancy f. This is with a Mac, font book and the Samantha upright pro font.

Have you tried this with another font you have downloaded from an outside source? I use loads of fonts from outside sites and not able to get any glyphs to work. Any tips?

@@courtneylemieux9713 Are you using the fancy Samantha font? Or one downloaded from a free site? If so, those fonts are not the one with the fancy glyphs.

I think it’s a free font.

Dosent work there is no more text box when you edit it
