My favourite fonts from BBC News Countdowns are: Reith Serif
@jacksugden81904 жыл бұрын
Okay, so you have different fonts in other weights bold to thin, the only issue her was the three white blocks with the BBC letters, those were designed in 1997, and now looked outdated with the new font, something the BBC should take into consideration regards its current brand Idenity.
@ayer27633 жыл бұрын
Hah, yeah. Now, according to BBC's political agenda, there should be three black blocks with the thin white letters in. :D In fact, they tried it in one or two of their continuity blocks on iPlayer this year.

@@ayer2763 They said that they wanted to keep the BBC Blocks logo the same because they wanted to keep Eric Gill's story alive.

UPDATE: Since February, The BBC has used a new logo using the Reith Sans font as a test for www.bbcselect.com and planned to be fully rolled out during Autumn.
@jacksugden81903 жыл бұрын
@@glassowlie Nice Select link, design looked grand, Reith fonts looked the same as a number of other fonts around, those 1997 BBC blocks have to go, as outdated, and did not live up to Reith.

@@jacksugden8190 Really!? I thought the Select font and colours were ugly.

@onoaptelunga "all he saw were.... then ,HOWEVER TODAY the place looks more multicultural." you didn't listen to the whole( yet short argument).plus if you have ever lived abroad, london was known as chic multicultural even in the late 50s.Plus the richest british is of indian origian, multiculturalism has its benefit.have you been to the west indies ? its even more multicultural than london and ain't nothing wrong with ppl looking for a place with variety of backgrounds.

@04fergs did you hear what the teen said."all I saw is whites its not a bad thing".you only picked a sediment of his statement and went wild.the context was "the place wasn't multicultural yet" clearly he is all smiles he likes the look of London.The older couple saw the changes,they stated they moved back and forth between 2 worlds and they love it. I hope next time you will pay attention. It won't kill ya to admit you misunderstood the argument of a 15 year old boy.
