oh, I don't think I can read a romance where the hero's name is my last name... sorry, Tessa lol

I listened to the audiobook, which was my mistake as well. The narrator gave the main character a very whiny voice. Some aspects of the book were good, but I doubt I'll be continuing onto the second book.

Great video ❤. Sabaa Tahir and Liz Tomforde are two authors that I started reading for the first time this year, and they're now two of my favorites.

I just read play along and really enjoyed it! I am kind of hesitant to pick up the new Tessa Bailey. I feel like I haven’t really enjoyed a release of hers in forever.

I think that a video reading Tessa Bailey’s back catalogue would be interesting because there is a ton of variety in the types of books she’s written. She has a vampire trilogy, and this Suicide-Squad-esque series that would make great video content. I just have to give the disclaimer that It Happened One Summer was her best book, so you may want to lower your expectations when reading that back catalogue 😬.

Interesting what you said about the Lovelights Farm book having a ramp up in sex scenes. After the Ali Hazelwood detour I wonder if it's a theme the industry is trying to shift towards. I hope not, I'm old I want more closed door and innuendo. I liked the second Liz Tomforde book but not the first one. I'm waiting for my library to get the next two.

Have you read Caught Up? Kai's book...if not you should its so good as well and where we first meet Isaiah...I also believe its between 300-400 pgs. I loved Play Along as well

I’ve been loving the reading new releases series and I’m glad you found one that really worked for you! I would love a Tessa Bailey guide but I could see how it would be easy to burn out on her reading a bunch in a row!

Been interested in reading the Right Move, but because of the mixed reviews on the rest of the series so far, I've been hesitant to pick it up! I think now that Play Along is out and people are enjoying it, I might just try out the series! Off topic, but have you decided to read any of the other books in the Never After series. Hooked isn't good, at all, but the rest of the books are def worth a shot!!!
@gracesull787562 күн бұрын
i think the third is even more mixed reviews (still haven't gotten to it yet bc of that, but probably will at least to meet isaiah for the hell of it), but the first just can't compete w the second, so while it's def a little long, i really liked it still! def suffers from the comparison, but pretty good in its own right. its fun to get background bc the 1 and 2 are pretty connected more than it seems to the rest, but The Right Move is so worth reading though even if you skip the rest. I'm agree, with the good response to Play Along, might continue with the series after all

I think for now I’m giving up on Tessa. Happenstance was not for me. The Vine series was really just okay. The “Christmas” one was a no. And Fangirl Down was not it either. It makes me sad because I loved the Hot & Hammered series and both Bellinger sisters books. But no part of me wants to pick this one up 😭😅
@chandlerainsley3 күн бұрын
honestly, FELT. the ones i've read lately (vine series & this one) have been pretty neutral so i'm not upset about the time investment. but i'm really hopeful there's a new 5 star gem from her at some point soon

@@chandlerainsley keeping my fingers crossed. I’ve already had a couple people tell me they think it’ll be my kind of shit and your video kinda cemented that for me since we tend to have the same feelings about sports romances.

I liked Once There Were Wolves, but there is a… trope I guess that I’m pretty sure you don’t like which I will spoil below. Also, I’d say it’s way more contemporary than romance if you just want the romance. (It’s accidental pregnancy)
