Yeah, I DNFed Wild Love so fast. The first chapter being like "I'm a billionaire but I'm not like other billionaires" made me cringe SO HARD

I love Elsie so much but based on how book one of the series was I’ve been hesitant to pick up Wild Love so this kinda reinforces that feeling for me lol

I read Savor It based on one of your previous videos where you talked about it, and really liked it! I LOVED how openly the hero and heroine communicated with one another, it just felt so nice to not want to bang my head up against a wall due to characters being idiots.

I'm so glad someone else liked At First Spite!! Everyone else I've seen on booktube that read (only 3 people but still) it hated it, but it's one of my favorite books of the year.

I also liked The Familiar, and was confused when I saw all the disappointment for it online. I also haven't read any of Bardugo's other work, so that might be part of why- I had zero expectations going in, and enjoyed the ride for what it was.

Same!!! I tried SoC twice actually but could never get through it so I actually didn't expect much from The Familiar but I absolutely loved it, slow start and all! It was confusing when I went to give it a 5stars and saw reviewers dashing out the 2 stars..

I was such a fan of Elsie Silver’s Chestnut Springs series (except Hopeless) but this new series just ain’t doing it for me 😭 Idk I can’t decide if she’s trying to do too much because she has become so popular or if this new series is just missing the charms of Chestnut Springs (like Harvey) 🤷🏻♀️

I read one of Penelope Douglas' books a while ago, having heard some sing her praises, and I was so surprised. It seemed very toxic and considering how much less accepting readers are these days of assault, bullying, questionable consent, lack of protection, etc - and won't read some of the older romances from the 70s, 80s, and 90s because of these issues, especially regarding male/female relationships - the fact that they read these books now and are "obsessed" with them just does not compute. I'm going to have to try Tarah Dewitt again. I read her Funny Feelings. I am always interested in a comedic story and I just didn't laugh much during that one. The book featured two comedians but it seemed to fall flat. No laugh out loud moments; no wit in the stand-ups she had the character do. There are some genuinely funny people who write romance, but I'm not sure Dewitt is one of them. I'm thinking that I might like the author's work more if I wasn't waiting for the laughs and just expecting a good contemporary romance.

Can anyone recommend books similar to "bride"? As in humans-vampires-wares/shifters-in the same world kind of books.

@angelakumi85542 ай бұрын
@@chandlerainsley Understandable, I haven’t read her books in a while because her trope can be a bit too dark but I picked up “one dirty night” which is completely opposite from her usual writing. It was surprisingly light and mostly steamy/angsty

Oh... you made the right choice not reading The Atlas Complex. You can see the avg rating on GR. The book was not problematic, the author was not cancelled. It really was just _that_ bad. The Atlas Six is now a standalone for me 😌
