I feel like this is probably op for a few reasons.. 1. bash 'animation cancels' abilities, so you could block, light attack, ability cast, bash, and bar swap in less than 1s 2. pvp 'battle spirit' is a Damage Taken reduction buff, and vulnerability is a Damage Taken increase buff. I think it's probably the weakest link per-unit / availability of any stat in the damage formula, if I understand it correctly (dmg/stam * done buffs * taken buffs * resist * crit) 3. you get 9-10s to use it?? its not even a riposte its like a free easy to cast ability that does damage

I get its supposed to be old school but the combat just does not look fun to me

if you appreciate eq 1 style then you'll probably appreciate this. If you're more into the modern games then this may be a hard sell.

Just downloaded eso again after two years off from it, last time I knew nord an argonian were the top two choices an I got a argonian tank, should I change to nord ?

Idk if someone needs to read this. So.. Ima don't like meta, and i'm fully embracing those strange builds. For once i had a tank fully relying on puncture. I took knight erants, tremorrscale and masters snd. for the backbar though i had assault (so i could buff my group at least somehow). And that was nb, before his heals where buffed. And it worked good. I had self heal all the time while doing some damage, debuffing enemies and buffing alies.

How about grouping with other players? This game is designed to best be played that way. I played the original EQ when it first came out, and grouping in that was essential in many areas. I played solo a lot, but its very slow progress. Going solo was great for acquiring loot.

In my DK i go with weapon, shield an juwlery „Rushing Agony“ and my heavy armour is „Brands of imperium“ Monsterset is „Engineguard“ Workshop Fine i my groups and for my playstyle

I tried it and got thrown in lvl 41 at start with lots of confusing things.. the world feels big but doesnt seem to reward exploration and feels empty. All the dungeons i tried i was in a group with bots so that was boring too. So far its not what im looking for.

I just came upon the revival of the game, but it seems they have large ideas with holes in them. I played the game for a few years on release, and truely loved it. I still miss it to date, and hoped at picking it up again. But sadly the combat system and pvp is one of the worst things this game has attempted and abandoned with the old devs, and the new ones dont want to seem to change it. I really hope that in a few months time, they listen more to the old player base, because the game has all the markers of a successful medieval mmo at a slow pace.. it just needs an overhaul.

No maps, hard to solo, no question mark pops out, that's what I want !

i have tried to beat this for a few years and never can even using a few types of legendary sets following multiple guides nothing works at all i managed once to get to the final boss and it felt like my connection speed is to slow to work through the spectral, at this point i am convinced i will grow old and die and never clear this dungeon

No wonder why people get mad at my style of tanking today in eso, because you said "Support and buffing?" That is ridiculous. Nah! Buffing and support needs to go to the healer...that should be the role of the healer. The healer needs to support the crew. The healer from i notice in eso has been a soft attacker

"Old School MMO" that means you get no help and every part of progression will be painful. (And No I don't miss those days, and as many good memories as I have from actually playing old school mmo's/games I do not want to relive these ones. I'm 51... I don't want to die levelling up here)

Every time you say something negative and get frustrated about the game, I giggled. Pantheon is for OG's. I litterly have clicked on every NPC in EQ and have note books full of my own maps and game info. That's how we used to play, and that's why we are excited about Pantheon. I truly feel like an old man listening to you complain, LOL! Now get off my Pantheon grass.

Amusingly, I just built Bastion exactly the way shown, all purple, heavy, vigorous, same skills, then took him to the group event in Silent Halls and he died in about three seconds. It was fine, it's not like I couldn't do it on my own, but I guess his uses are situational.

Villagers and heros is literally garbage. Combat system is the saddest thing I've ever seen. Must have a sub room temp iq to enjoy something so horrible. Sad asf.

God this boss sucks so much. What's worse is, falling off the cliff during the fucking jumps seems random as to whether it kills you or just damages you and dumps you somewhere else.

Both your video's and your website show and mention Reverse Stab but It does not seem to be in the game anymore. Could you pin a comment or update website with info on new ability that replaced reverse stab? Is it as good? does it change the Sword and Shield recommended build?

this game seems massively dead on arrival. all content for this game over the last 3 months has like less than 500 views. i had high hopes bc i love the art style and concept but i don't think the devs stuck the landing on this launch. unfortunate.

This set was made rather redundant with the introduction to skill scribing since you can now scribe a skill with both minor buffs this set gives. Why use up a monster or mythic slot when you could scribe a skill? ha

looks worse than everquest on day 1!

This looks like a good game. I'm willing to buy it for $50. "It's free, but pay to win, and has a battle pass and early access" I am no longer interested and I'll spend my money elsewhere. I don't understand why MMORPGs all decided to use terrible monetization. Right now I'm an MMO player without an MMO and I had high hopes for this.

If only these companies knew how to make mmos we want and not just cycle out garbage with "good graphics" as their whole selling point

Great coverage of some interesting upcoming games. I will say that Evercraft is the one I'm most excited about. Considering its inspiration was from Everquest 1 it may be a bit harder to bridge that gap of being for a wider audience as EQ1 is no easy MMO when comparing to other stuff on the market. But the aesthetic does lean more towards the comments you mentioned.
