Honestly Kwech, the DPS is lacking. Relic Gsword isn’t as powerful and effective as Relic Gaxe.

It was not an oversight. They intend the prime weapons to be the best in the game by a lot. The final Ultimate weapons. Kinda sad tho to have Ultimate weapons that make all others obsolete but whatever. I mean as it stands having Aegis and Priwen covers any content in the game well enough you don't need anything else, and those 2 shield are easy to attain. Don't let it hold you back from playing PLD thinking you need Duban or else.

For FFXI Braver, the starting gear is going to change soon so I've been told. But I noticed if I started as RDM, WHM, THF, WAR all the gear I had on me was able to fully equip each party member with basic head body weapon, etc. Just not any jewelry those needed to be crafted a little bit later not too far from the start so really I haven't bought anything gear-wise yet since I began. Your start seemed to have most of your party left un-geared which is why the dev is making starting gear sets I guess or something like that.

I remember trading moss to max out my standing in the game. It helped speed up quest that required you to max out your standing in the game

RDM was my main, then BRD became my second main. Then I leveled war to 75 so I could run merit burn parties with the 3 highly caught job classes. Then chose to level thief to 75 for thf4. By that time it was about 7 years or 8 years of the game being out and then I quit. I remember the game even after being gone from the game since 2009. I want to come back and play the game. I just can’t spend a lot of time on the game like I used to back then. I averaged 15-16 hours in a day grinding content.
