Cool I hiked the 50 it was buggy, wet, and feet destroyed swear I would never go back. This made want to canoe 🛶 the ponds. We skipped cat mt on hike but when canoe camping on cranberry lake worked cat mt in and it was a beautiful fall day. Thanks for sharing.

We want to do the 50 eventually, it's been on our list for a while now. The ponds were so beautiful, definitely one of my favorite trips so far. Cat Mountain was spectacular, I bet it was awesome in the fall. Thanks for watching and stopping by to comment, very much appreciated!

It sure is nice in there, so beautiful and peaceful. I lived in cranberry lake for a few years as a kid, never got back into the ponds but did fish the Oswegatchie and the lake quite a bit. Just an awesome area, definitely love going back.

Sorry about that scratch on your new boat! someone must have planted that shovel in the ground and forgot it there. the wood handle probably rotted off over time! I have to admit, I am partial to the hornbecks. That little 12' classic is such a perfect boat for up there in the Adirondacks . The Swift is awesome though, plenty of room for all your gear, food barrel and Sammy! And it seems tp paddle well with that nice single blade that you made. The 'tumble-home' works well! Nice bonus part 2, I was surprised and didn't expect the Oswegatchie River! Hopefully I'm going out today or tomorrow here in northern maine where I live. waiting on a buddy to show up ! Thanks again for sharing!😎

I love the swift, but definitely still have a place in my heart for the Hornbeck. It's so light, much easier to carry into the hard to reach backcountry ponds. I want to get up to Maine sometime to explore, hopefully next year. Thanks for watching and stopping by to comment, very much appreciated! I hope you have a great trip!

Hey Alan... this was great. I really enjoyed the Oswegatchie leg of the trip. Tracey got quite good at getting in her boat... she had lots of practice on this trip with all those dams. Sammy is such a good canoe dog. My pup loves canoeing but insists on sitting right between our legs and facing forward... which isn't too bad... but it would be great if she laid down like Sammy. Thanks for sharing... and I hope your summer is going great.

Oh... I almost forgot.... I got a good chuckle out of when Tracey held up those huge rain pants. They were like 4x too large. Like my size. haha.
@AlansOutdoorAdventures14 күн бұрын
Tracey is definitely getting comfortable with the Hornbeck, she loves it. Sammy really is the best, we got so lucky with him. We really enjoyed going down the Oswegatchie, so beautiful and peaceful. And Tracey's rain pants 🤣🤣🤣 I had to leave that part in. She couldn't find hers at home before we left for this trip so I loaned her those lol. Thanks for watching and stopping by to comment, very much appreciated! Hope all is well with you, have a great summer!

I need more channels with chill nature loving and respecting people like yours Zander’s and johns, I started with lost lakes and John is amazing then I saw Zander s channel and your channel because of johns, I need like five more good chill channels like this, I work 70hrs a week and don’t have time to run off to the water like I want so basically I’m just using KZbin hiking camping and kayak/canoeing videos to help me not miss it so badly
@scotlackey9819Ай бұрын
No you teased me, I couldn’t see trailer part of title, I was ready for vid, you and Zander and lost lakes need to get your schedules worked out together lol I keep running out of good canoe vids, do you recommend any other good canoeing channels to fill the gaps???

@AlansOutdoorAdventuresАй бұрын
Lol I'm sorry about the confusion with it being a trailer and not the video, I'll have to change the thumbnail. Currently working on part 2, so part 1 should be up soon. As far as channels, Nature into action, Meet me outside, canoe camp climb, it's good in the woods, justin barbour, daxwoodswanderer, adk addicts, Derek s outdoors, Langdon outdoors are all great channels.

@AlansOutdoorAdventures2 ай бұрын
The swift is so much better in all aspects, especially comfort. The seat is incredible, I've spent hours in it and wasn't uncomfortable at all. The Hornbeck is great for carrying though, being half the weight of the swift.
