Personally, i think that gems are some kind of really advanced robot that requires lifeforce to emerge. When the alien species that tried to build white diamond activated her, she needed so much lifeforce in such little time that it ripped the whole planet open, killing her makers and their species in the process. The reason i think this is correct is because the same thing wouldve happened if the cluster got activated. The clusters raw power is similar to that of diamonds, so if it got activated, it wouldve burst open like white diamond did when she was formed.

Well they are also robots… so I honestly believe that they were created by beings that lived on the planet beforehand, and created the gems as servants “the diamonds” until they eventually overthrew them and the diamonds used the planet and everything they left behind to create new gems.

I often forget that pink diamond is just as old as the other diamonds, I guess in my mind I just assume she appears thousands of years later, like the planet the other diamond emerge from pink random forms out the kindergarten, late like amethyst and that explains her size and child like mentality. I kinda like my way better, it just makes so much more sense that way, because now I kinda get why pink was saying she was being treated unfairly, because she most definitely was if they all the same age and they are refusing her, her birth rate as a diamond.

I kinda doubt they were born perfect Actually ,how every gem is created is kinda confusing ,how do program rocks to gain sentience and follow orders AT BIRTH ,They should be more like vampires (without the cons) gems live forever ,can die when they're gem breaks ,but also need to learn about the world before fully becoming ,yk... Dont you just love how inconsistent SU is? I'll give a small example: in steven universe end of an era, it says the diamonds were all created 20000 years ago, which doesnt match up with what we are told in the show, we are told that white hasnt left homeworld in EONS (billions of years) and with how gems are very literal with what they say, blue definitely meant it as billions of years. This would mean that the 3 diamonds had to launch the corruption blast from homeworld to earth, which surprisingly is actually very much in the realm of possibilitiy, because at the beginning of the movie, we see steven travel from homeworld to earth via the warp-pad, which im assuming can send you places at the speed of light, if so, with their attack being a bright light, and the diamonds together probably have the power necessary for such a long distance attack. Now i want to adress one more thing that the book contradicts, the ammount of time that the off-colors spent hiding on homeworld. We are told that they've been hiding on homeworld for eons, which would not be possible if the diamonds only emerged 20000 years ago. With all this information laid out, the only plausible theory i can think of, is that originally, eons of years ago, the diamonds did actually form, and start the gam race as we know it, and then 20000 years prior to the show, due to reasons unknown, another set of diamonds are formed and collectively agree to take the places of the original 4. And just remember, that's just a small example, i could go on and on, but i think ill save that for if i eventually wanna make a video about it, perhaps for a different channel though, because this one is for tech videos

I always theorized that before gems there was an ancient alien race who inhabited homeworld before and created the diamonds as tools for combat, energy, or some kind of intelligent ai. After a while the diamonds turn on their creators and start making new gems to build their empire, destroying the planet in the process. It makes a lot more sense to me that they were artificially created since all other gems are created from injectors

I think this would've been better if they all had different attires and apparels because of how long ago it was. Like, even Garnet had a different appearrance just to show how much time passed. And logically, I think It wouldve been portrayed better in a simpler or more complex artstyle rather than the same one that rebecca sugar used for the majority of the series. Also i think it wouldve been better to say it occured a much longer time ago like maybe in the million's range. I love the occurance with the explosion of the planet and disturbance of the rings but it wouldve been more explanatory for there to be someone narrating the story, like a peice of history that gems learned over the course of their life

I imagine White coming through first, but after creating her first « court », she makes too many decisions with her heart, feeling intensely the first time as she makes mistakes, changing to blue and/or yellow. With emotions clouding her divine judgment, she casts them out, making the first diamonds after her. And once she starts caring for them, wanting to protect and all that, feeling « pink », she has no choice but to cast that out too. And that’s, the final diamond is born. Not as big or strong physically, but emotionally made of steel.

the planet was a normal planet just filled to the brim with supernatural sources and materials, in order for the diamonds to form it would’ve taken upon 10 of 100 thousands years for the diamonds to even obtain enough nutrients to become well, a diamond, the planet was filled to the brim with this nutrients but after all those years the planet must’ve dampen down in brightness and energy because of the diamonds strain and toll to be created, the sudden burst of energy to release the diamonds would’ve been almost powerful enough to be seen from their earth with the power of a nuclear bomb 100 to 1000 times more powerful, maybe even more powerful than most star explosions, even then the planet wouldn’t have gone completely dark, I say this because the diamonds must’ve exploited the planets resources to the brim in order to create more gems and technology, the whole planet is like a battery that never runs out, kinda like how sapphire predicted that she would’ve served the diamonds until the end of time until ruby came to her life. This story is one the most accurate presentations I’ve seen

I always had the idea that in reality the Diamonds without AIs were from some civilization that became extinct at some point after the birth of White Diamond but before the rest (something like the Evolved Intelligence from Infinity)

for me the origins of the diamonds goes like this universe is created id say 2-3 billion years pass, homeworld is formed with white diamond's gem being naturally cut into its shape supernova happens and gives white diamond's gem the ability to form and white diamond's first form emerges white diamond is left by herself to build for 10 billion years, and her form is iridescent and has all colors white diamond finds out other intelligent beings in the universe exist white diamond eventually figures out that her emotions and colors can be used to create other gems and she creates yellow diamond, then blue diamond she waits till she turns her last emotion into a new being the empire starts and with the help of yellow and blue they begin to explore the cosmos, colonize planets and systems and gain power yellow and blue's forms change overtime, they grow in size and mature white's form before pink's birth was taller by a tiny bit with a hue of red light white attempts to create red diamond but is unsuccessful and creates pink diamond by mistake meaning she's off color white is disappointed but still allows pink in the empire unlike her other diamond counterparts she is unable to grow in size but is able to mentally mature like how she did in the story

I feel like being that some of the gems in the main story are thousands of years old maybe the diamonds are millions of years old…kinda explain their imperialistic nature and how they dominated so many planets
