Just thinking about how long Pearl had to maintain Rose's form... and that's why White discovered it was Pearl (she couldn't keep it forever), and then hid herself so no one could look at Shatter.

It's been speculated that White knew that Rose was Pink, and knew she faked her shattering. Pretty demented of her to let all the gems on Earth be corrupted and let Yellow and Blue suffer all those thousands of years thinking Pink was really gone.
