When I meal prep I made 2-4 servings of each meal (usually 2-3 different meals) except sometimes breakfast. Any extra meals went in the freezer. Also if I happened to go out to eat the meal goes in the freezer. This helped me always have variety so I’m not eating the same thing each day or week because there is always different meals in the freezer from a week or 2 ago. For breakfast it really depends on what you are making, egg cups, whole wheat protein muffins, breakfast burritos/tacos, etc etc vs something quicker to prepare like overnight oats or yogurt and the like.

I worked in assisted living for 20 years. I guarantee you that none of the 100 yr olds living there can perform this test. And probably never could. 100. Think about that. lol.

Adding a touch of water does wonders when reheating rice. Helps to re-steam it

I prefer to pan fry left over rice. This is why microwaveable rice is a major hack. Super easy to prepare and much easier to stay within your calorie goal because it is so easy to portion.

Appreciate the video. Just curious, do you feel strongly either way about using fresh versus frozen vegetables for this kind of thing or in general?

You can use both. I almost always use frozen. They are way more convenient and taste great.

I use fresh for sheet pan meals and frozen for soups or stove top foods or pot pies.

Your "egg whites" have a disgusting amount of canola oil, rice starch, potato starch, and CORN STARCH! Just turn the box around and look at your ingredients. You are recommending garbage 😂.

Got all the flavors yesterday - I think they're delicious; but as a marketing sr. copywriter the brand stuff frustrates me. Like, the collagen point is valid to me, especially because out of the 28g of protein per bar - which is in itself solid - they don't specify how many of those grams are collagen. Like, if it's 50% collagen for the sake of texture, well - that's just a standard protein bar's worth of anabolic protein.

28g of protein isn't that good. At woolies there are protein bars with 45g of protein, and they don't taste too bad

It’s the proteins to calories ratio that makes it impressive. Standard protein bares usually have a 10:1 calories to protein ratio.

For a protein bar on average it's pretty good. Usually most bars have 20g or 15g. 28g is definitely on the higher end

I don't think you really need a leg press if you have a belt squat, if you are getting rid of the floor ghr I'd rather get a hyper/ghr combo.

In the southeast US we have a brand of local chicken called Springer Mountain Farms. It has way more flavor than Tyson/Perdue/Costco chicken. I can eat the chicken breasts plain without seasoning it tastes so good.

Just so you are aware, not all Pure Protein bars have collagen. The chocolate salted caramel does not, only whey and milk. Not sure about the other flavors.
