I don't think it makes her a "top 1% AI engineer" which is a bullshit definition, but she is clearly a pretty good researcher, according to the number of papers she has and the impact of the work. I would say to 10% PhD kinda recent grad (5 years after+-). Overall, pretty impressive work :) But in all honesty, it is not simple to call someone a top 1% something in competitive fields. Only the top 0.001% in ML are clearly top 1%.

AI is just capable of predicting the most likey next word. Therefore, it can not be creative. It can not think out of the box. It can just rehash what has been said before. It will be a great tool as a knowledgebase, however.

Ai right now not developed.. It takes years of time may be after 1 decade we will see the ai job market rise in World.. Right now innovation phase ongoing................

one misleading thing about this video is : most people doing ML are not not into research but doing office jobs. Data manipulation techniques like SQL are more important that going too deep into ML algos. A recruiter will rather hire a backend engineer with good data manipulation skills than a ML algo expert.

I don't think people understand what software engineers do. Software engineer is translator between humans and computers. I don't think this will change but rather they will start to translate between humans and AI and will be able to use English to do so rather than current programming languages. Think about simple task of counting down before liftoff. For software engineer that is many sentences to describe so it actually does what people commonly understand as counting down. Most of people cant even describe without making mistakes what it actually means. For example, did you think about specifying that countdown should go down in intervals of 1 every second until number 0 is reached ? Most people wouldn't think about describing this and would be surprised with effects of such inaccuracies in human language on final effect.

AI will not replace all software engineers but the engineering jobs will change drastically. I fall into the category of developers who actually like coding. AI is already better than most developers at algorithms and data structures and it will probably become a lot better in the next 3 years. I do not want my job to be learning yet another cloud platform or AI tool and mix and match them together. It's just so bloated. I wanna code, not configure. Testing jobs go even faster. I'm really in between right now either to transition into robotics or quit tech entirely. "Hey we are hiring for our REVOLUTIONARY fintech/banking/social media app.". Go 🖕 yourself.
