How does the gearbox hold? I know a tuner that does a k04-064, but limits the power to 325 HP to not damage the gearbox.

Clutch setup was single mass flywheel sachs racing disc fron sachs as well. From a certain power and upwards you must limit the torque.....500 Nm the spot for the gearbox i think.. Now i'm on a different setup...DSG and big turbo with forged engine

@@Dikonou Thank you for the very quick response! Yes, the sachs performance clutch is rated up to 550 nm I think, so it's a good choice. Since you mention single mass, I guess the stock flywheel is dual mass? Anyway, I think that only affects the throttle response and momentum in the system, no? I just checked the website of the tuner again (DVX). It's 325 hp @420 nm. 350 hp was possible, but not applied to not destroy the gearbox according to them. Maybe the specific gearbox was weak or they took a larger margin of error just to be sure. I cannot find any other source about how many nm the gearbox can take. 500 nm would be nice if it's really true. I recently got a fully revised CDA engine swap in my A3, so your video really pumps me up! A k04 upgrade would be nice, but financially maybe not the smartest choice for a 14 year old car. But I'm already so deeply invested, so maybe I'll say what the heck, let's get even deeper...

@@KenpachiZaraki601 keep in mind that my gearbox from factory was a kxd with 240mm clutch!!!! If you have a 228mm clutch it's a bit diifferent

Mobil 1 esp 5w30 98 to 101 at normal driving Up to 110 at "full throttle" mode

Can i ask what Electronic boost pressure regulator you are running and why? Iam having issues with overboosting after K04 swap and tune...

Are you overboosting from some rpm and above? 6000 for example? If so then you have a closing throttle body issue.... And it keeps on building pressure

Dikonou No, it seems to be hitting the limit of what the OEM map-sensor can register. It hits about 1-1,3 bar and just goes to limp mode. Logs in VCDS says it hits about 2500-2600mbpa and the oem map sensor can only register around 2580mbpa i think.... no leaks to find anywhere in the system and wategate moves, swapped N75 valve with no luck

The turbo is a K04-064 from S3 with a mod in the aluminum cold side in order to fit on the 1.8 block.

Depends on the user!!!! Beiing a normal user and knowing the extention of the mods I would say about 350 hp and 450nm.... For every day use.....

@@Dikonou ohh ok, thank you, it s more than enough for me, I m, aiming just for S3 stock power levels.I know from other users the old 1.8T (BAM) piston rods couldn t really handle more than 350NM and I wanted to know if this is stronger.

@@Dikonou does it also have one narrowband lambda sensor like BZB? I have BZB and want to do k04 conversion, don't know if narrowband lambda could be an issue.

Nacho Bides θέμα με κατανάλωση δεν έχω.... ακόμα είναι με 80000 σχετικά λίγα. Εάν τα 250ml στα 5000 χλμ θεωρούνται κατανάλωση λαδιού.

Hi! Car still going strong? Doing a K04 upgrade to my 1.8tsi with the same engine code(just a Quattro) soon. Installing forged rods atm and iam looking to push maybe 300-320hp and around 420-450nm. Would the car be driveable with no new software or would it hit overboost all the time? Reason for asking is because i want to give the fresh new rods a bit of run in time before dyno-tuning the car. Looks like your car is a lot of fun!

Ole-Christian Alfsen yep but I have low mileage so ...... running 2.0 overboost and 1.35 at the limiter now with 2.0 gti vi injectors.

Yeap stock internals but i have a boost contoller installed......dailly mode is 1.75 with 1.25 limiter.....2.0 and 1.35 is for ''competitive'' situations.........
