Hi Tunisia, you are so right about leaving the frizz alone. I made the mistake of letting someone trim my frizz and I am still trying to recover from it. This is one of the reasons why I was thinking about changing over knotted locks.

Yes, it is. Still reviewing technique for doing knotted locs but I am having difficulties. maybe I am not as coordinated working with my hands but it is difficult for me. And also I recently had a shoulder replacement. I'm really trying now to keep my hair now from matting because I have not interlocked now for about 6 months. However, I do plan to keep watching your videos and hopefully one day it will click for me.

How do you know if the water you are using is hard or not ? And What shampoo do you recommend ?

Hard water is very rough on hair. It makes hair more prone to dryness and breakage. It's a bit more difficult to lather soap and create suds. It's caused by minerals that dissolve into water as it moves through soil, underground rock layers, etc.. There are over a dozen ways to tell such as water spots on dishes, higher utility bills, odd tasting water, dry skin & hair, etc. It can also make your clothes hard and discolor and weaken fabrics more readily. Appliances corrode faster too. You can also have your water tested. I think they have tests on Amazon that you can order.
