New here. I loved the blouse. And, more importantly, I loved ALL of the outfits you created. Not one bad outfit out of the whole bunch. I also thought the blouse and animal print skirt would make a nice date night outfit since it was very attractive!

Thank you Irene! Glad to hear you like the outfits. To this date I still wear my Norma and wear most of the outfits ( some have become a bit tight ). The print skirt is still one of my faves. Xx

Hi Angela!!! I hope I am not too late with my answer! The name of the store is CACADU and here is a link to their website cacadu-bg.com/index.php?route=common/home they have a number of locations but the one mentioned on the English version of their website is good! I really hope you manage to visit and pick some treasures! Have a safe trip and enjoy Bulgaria! ❤️

Thank you so much for your honesty, Polly. I'm sure that you'll find the balance for you, and this sounds like a great start. I've challenged myself to find a little sewing every day before and often did a stitch here and there while the dinner was simmering (I may have lost track of time occasionally, too! 🤫😆). It is surprising how these small increments of time add up. I hope that you are getting some sewing this week and that it brings you joy! Looking forward to a status update next week!

Dedicating even just a couple of mins to our hobby really helps...I'm realising it now, it's been a good three weeks since I had time to make something. I just moved to a new state, new house, new job. I know it will likely take me some time to readjust, but I'm looking forward to start my next project🙂in the meanwhile i'm rooting for you!

Great to see you again Polly. I’m so sorry you have been struggling to find time for yourself. I was a working mum and I know how it feels. It does get better as they get older. Mine are now off my hands and I have much more time to myself but I remember those days well. I always think it’s amazing what you can get done in 10-20 minutes. Often it doesn’t seem worth it but it is usually surprising what you can achieve. I used to stick something in the oven and then go and do a quick couple of seams! I don’t know the age of your children - maybe that’s not possible if they are very little. Many of us, me included, have put on weight during the pandemic. I’m sure you will find ways to tackle it and will start feeling yourself again. I am looking forward to seeing your top which looks really interesting. I’m about to make the Itch to Stitch Brisbane dress/T-shirt and that’s another elevated basic. You might like that one too. Diana

Thank you so much for your positive and encouraging message here Diana. Such advice from experienced mom mean a lot to me 😊 our boys are 6 and 8 years old and currently their extra curriculum activities along with school tasks and social plays are keeping us busy. We just driving them around town and schedule has to be organized by the minute otherwise we miss things… as for keeping the over on and sewing a couple of seams - I’ve done the same and I plan to do it too this week. Hope you are well Diana, blessings to you and your family. Thank you for your tips 🤍

Hi Polly! It is hard to balance work, home and me time when you are working full time. It sounds like your plan has been well thought out and I hope that it is something you can manage. Hello! So good to see you today, Polly! If we are creative, we really miss our hobbies, don’t we? I have not been too creative either. This past week, I’ve taken on more care for my mom. This is a life change event for me. I spent today cutting out shirts. I just needed to feel like I was making progress toward “hope” I can make this😊 I like your plans. Keep things a little more simple so you can still enjoy sewing. Sometimes just 15 minutes brings so much joy🥰 Like they say, here in states, “It’s the little things that bring happiness.” Cheryl

Polly. I worked full time and was the main caregiver for both my boys and it was tough. First be kind to yourself. I save lots of time by writing dinner menus for each week and only going to the grocery once a week. So much time saved. My ex-husband took care of the dinner dishes and the boys 4 evenings/week and I got time to myself Hope that helps. Good to see you!!

oh, bless Claudia, You must have worked immensely hard! You also put a smile on my face because I can totally relate to your tips. We do the same, plan the weekly meals, once time groceries with list of ingredients but I think I started going for easy meals and they are not so wholesome healthy options always... And to make things a bit more complicated our boys are very fussy eaters so I end up cooking two meals every night after work.. hubby helps though. I am determined to crack this work-life balance or at least try properly by tracking and recoding how I spent my time. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
