My son has scalp psoriasis and. It’s a constant battle. He does best when his hair is debulked so his scalp can breathe, it cuts down on fungal growth too. I have him rotate between nizoral (antifungal is ketoconazole) and selsen blue (selenium) and shampoo with tar. This helps a ton. You did an awesome job.

It's amazing what the perfect hairstyle can do for a man - Allen looks years younger & it really shows off his great cheek bonesl! Special hair (whether thin, thick, curly or pin straight) requires an experienced hand. Allen's came out exactly right for him.

I've come to realize (from videos such as yours) that dreadlocks require special care to maintain healthy skin & hair. Perhaps you could do a video on the best way to maintain dreadlocks - I think it would help a lot of people who like the style but really don't know how to maintain it best. Your client looked decades younger and really happy with his new hair when you were done - great job! BTW - the extra skin you referred to I believe is what's referred to as 'cradle crust' in babies.

With that much "build up", would it have been better to cut it all the way down to get the scalp healthy, and then work from there? I'm not a barber, and I'm not a black man, just wanting to know for the knowledge. Thank you.

Clean! Been growing my hair for 20 years. Past 6 years my locs have been driving me crazy, I've hung in there but the urge to chop has now consumed me.
