I've been looking for one of these antique desk/chair sets in this design. The reasonably priced ones are too far away and the sellers won't ship. Ones I found online that will ship want hundreds just for the desk/chair plus the shipping expense. I do have a set of H-W metal desk legs like these I want to remake an antique style desk for. Your video will be very useful in designing the wood desk parts correctly. I have an antique school desk inkwell to go with it.

Really nice restoration---but what did you do about the veneer that was so thick? Did I miss something? (I've been known to doze off even when I'm really into something...it's the vintage thing!). It's a pleasure to watch you work!

So sad, everyone using woodstain, especially wallnutstain. We have got so many different woods. This desk, would be even more wonderful in it's original wood.

Wonderful. All it needs now is the old ceramic inkwell to be replaced. We have one in our antique desk. (Our cats used to play at pulling it out of its hole and dropping it on the floor.)

It's a bit like Trigger the road sweeper in "Only fools and horses", when Dell Boy asked him how many brushes he had got through, and Trigger repied, "I've still got the same brush that was given to me when I f irst started the job all those years ago. Mind you it's had 10 new brush heads and 5 new handles". ! ! ! . Sometimes you just have to admit that something has had its day and needs to be retired.

So real sad... 😢... the original mirror is gone... changed against a modern one!!! A sakrileg!!! The old mirror got fased... it's an important part of this dresser... the historian charakter.... 🙏
