Thank you for your helpful uploads. I have about 5 yrs old win10 Dell laptop, that shows it cannot be upgraded to win11. Meantime, I had about a year ago downloaded the Malwarebytes free trial and installed to scan slow laptop for malware because the laptop had became exceedingly slower over time. I still have Norton AV & after the Malwarebytes trial expired, it continues to nag that the trisl expired and wants a purchase. IME Malwarebytes long ago was a program many techs recommended who used it with great success, and before the trial period expired I was considering purchasing license to switch to it and uninstall norton av. But now I find it very offputting that i cannot uninstall the free malwarebytes trial version easily, and that it's using this hostage like methodology with the trial license to lock you into purchasing their upgrade. Although I can kill the malwarebytes upgrade nag task after startup, I cannot easily end the malwarebytes service in tasks running in the background. Why is Malwarebytes so difficult to remove the trial version? I'm tired of Norton because it's likely contributed to the slowness, but I still feel I need to use AV software with current definitions regularly. Do you support purchasing Malwarebytes subscription for regular AV active monitoring? Or what other recommendations and was hy. How the heck do I get the MWB trial software version completely removed?

Yeah I'm a dummy and sign into MS. Now If I go to local account, will I still have the same favorites.? (website links at top of the webpage) Then, what about the passwords? I don't use Google, just Edge. All of that is important for everyone's activity; Going to the regular webistes. I don't have a lot of files in my exporer. I do have saved pictures I copied and use as wallpaper. Like screen captures??? DO I need to make a password for a local account? Until OS 10 AND 11, I didn't have to sign into my computer. ??? When I sign in now I use a pin to get to the regular webpage to get things started. That is one thing I have learned, to know "both sides of the fence" so I can step back if I made a mistake. Anyway, I think it is a good idea to go with local account, but I want to know everything about the questions above. I will be grateful to know this.

I bought a laptop with win11 for the family and created an user for each member. Guess what? Bought the office and when the other person logs it asks to buy office for the other person too. That’s ridiculous! I’ll pay a license for the computer, not for every single person that uses the computer!

There could be a problem with licens. If the company has run LTSC version, you wil have to buy a new license.

Only Issue I have with this is that here in Australia, wholesalers are charging $90 for a PNY 1Tb SSD so by the time it gets to retail your looking around $120 . Why are prices in the USA so cheap ???

When I made a Hiren drive, it doesn't seem that everything copied over. Some of the folders are just empty shortcuts. Any ideas why this happened? I used a 16 GB drive, so space wasn't the issue.

I bought a new laptop with "s" mode. I found it so frustrating that I switched back to Linux.

1) I don't get how people would ever want to backup using onedrive, the single worst cloud sw I have ever used. My gf almost lost years of onenote notes due to that onedrive breaking itself. 2) bitlocker is stupid. Everybody knows that data encryption at rest is a relative security measure. Doesn't protect the data while you are using it and if you get infected the data is stolen anyway. What it does prevent you to do is recover all data with a live linux usb drive in case the system gets corrupted, which is super useful. If data is not encrypted you can easily recover everythting. Another reason not to use bitlocker.

Hi I'm in need of well help I've gotten hacked around 5 months a go . And I fought the guy off my PC round and round for hours since then they came back hit my PC wiped all files ,took my emails and fb accounts and rearranged them and put diff emails on different accounts. Numbers etc... 2 g power Motorola phones and a 2 AO3 phones from Samsung and a g play 2024. Hit my bank stoped me litlry from taking money out of the ATM made the machine. Stop mid count and reverse it then say innf. Two other arms did not give me money that night then bam 4th did Amazon gave money back to me bout the only I found stop I e kicked them off my PC and accounts multy times I had Microsoft reset my PC 4 times then what that did not work they factory reset back to 0. Still did not work and last time they tried well I might have said come on what are y'all good for. For a while I thought it was them Microsoft I got hard drive. With file info and like a back door program I kicked him off the PC over and over montssss sometimes easy as heck.some times like I'm fighting I have files. Pie.i want it to be overdrive lost 60 pounds I've lost the ability to pay my bills it is consuming my life help
