Hey man, I tried all the batters, charged one for like 12 houres and it still won’t work, all my rcs when I use the batteries all have steering, but they have no drive or reverse. There’s a clicking sound when I go and shift the thing up and down, do you think it’s the battery, should I get new battery for it, I mean the big battery’s, the rechargeable ones?

@@CarGuy24-le8oc if it's an old nicd or nimh battery - specially one that maybe as old as this rc, then likely they won't hold a charge under load.

Hello, I have one of these and two more my grandfather gave me, but thing is this exact one, it only steers but doesn’t go forward or back, idk what to do about it, do you know what I could do about it?

The first suspect would be the battery. Make sure it is good and fully charged. In modern electronics, even when batteries are depleted steering is usually still available while throttle no longer responds. This may also apply to the electronics in these older RCs but I can't be sure. With these older RCs, batteries may be just as old and no longer holding a charge.

@@lesdmess845 yeah, I have like 5 batteries for this thing, ima try them all then if they all don’t work should I get a new battery or would it probably be smt with the electronics

@@CarGuy24-le8oc In the off chance a battery is able to take a charge, make sure to put the RC up - with all 4 wheels off the ground, to minimize the load, and maybe the wheels can turn. If they turn then the electronics are still good.

This has been removed from 2025 models. The salesman said Lexus have done this to save money.

Frankly, I didn't even know this was an option on my 2025 Lexus NX 450H+ F. I do value the Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control more though.

Hey Les i gotta project im working on and the wheelbase hub to hub is 17.5 width 12.5! I was looking at this RC but wheelbase way off and width to narrow. Doesn't have to be a fast chassis just something strong enough to carry the body. If you know of any RTR chassis's you help will be greatly appreciated. 👍🏽

That's a big vehicle with a wheelbase between a Traxxas X-Maxx and Sledge! I know wheelbase and width are just a starting point so good luck!

So I have a 2025 NX premium and don’t have the park assist button under the screen…. but it’s on my msrp sticker as a standard feature and in my display under drive assist as a feature… help!

I had Lexus NX 450h+ Takumi delivered 23rd September and that too has the button missing for the auto parking. It was on the 2024 spec when I ordered it but it looks as the Lexus have removed the facility for the 2025 version. However, I did get the 17 speaker audio upgrade and moon roof included. Both of which were not included on the 2024 spec.

@@lesdmess845 You are probably right. When I ordered my Takumi version I believe the auto parking was only available on the Takumi but now it seems that they have swapped that facility to the F edition. Its a pity that they didn't let me know when I was ordering because I chose the Takumi over the F for the auto parking. 😞

I frequented RS stores back then - still miss those store, and remember somewhere in the $50 - $100 range. Definitely above toy grade even compared to those on dept store shelves today. Although I really like some of the hard body plastics from New Bright rcs that I've been able to put on modern hobby grade chassis.

@@lesdmess845 oh wow, that's pretty impressive as long as all the other factors play nice, will a 6s motor have enough torque to spin them gears reliably? I just ordered a 6s 2150 kv motor for my slash 2wd, and am super curious on gearing

@@IZD3d Many factors indeed! On my community page, I posted a couple of shots showing my spreadsheet calculations accounting for voltage, gearing and tire size. From my experience, above 40mph aerodynamics and tire compound start to be a factor. True about torque as motor, esc and I'm sure weight, battery quality are huge factors. There are apps like rc speed calculator that does very similar to my spreadsheet but usually even higher speed estimates. Mine has been tracking my actual results within 1 - 2 mph to about the 60s.

First time seeing your channel, I do RC content on my friends acct. I’ve always wanted to review a toy to hobby grade conversion car. I really like how you made the rc with 3S, if I Pmed would we be able to set something up where maybe we could collab or do a car trade to help each others content out? Maybe do a special build? Hi, I'm new to this hobby, I'm torn between the bl-2s or the vxl, which do you think is better? Can they be modified so that both run faster?

Absolutely! Both are likely the most upgradeable RC systems you can buy. The only limitation is your time and money. The VXL adds many upgrades over the BL-2S so if the price difference isn't much, I would suggest getting that.

I have one and I try not to use that feature because it’s rough on my clutch. I’ve been using the same clutch for 3 years and i do all the wheelies and race cars but I don’t punch it from 0-50 I do like a rolling start or anything to help preserve my clutch because I hate tightening it and Traxxas parts are expensive and these trucks are an addictive money pit

No doubt it will take a lot to have confidence in it's use particularly in busy or tight spaces! The 360 view and all the sensors helps with that as well as allows you to easily do it manually too.

Thanks! I've since painted a couple other bodies and now I know that those hardware store special plastic paints are nowhere near as durable - adherence quality, as the Tamiya paints I used on this which has hardly flaked off!

Could you elaborate on how you wired the light controller to the receiver? Im working on something very similar. The same body but on a kraton 6s!

Starting at 7:40, I show where all the lights go to the distribution board located on top of the top of the body. From there those lines go to the former controller board in the original New Bright RC. Instead I reroute those wires to the DumboRC X6DC (G) shown in 7:50. Did you want me to show the lines from the distribution board to the X6DC?

@@lesdmess845 yeah, I need help with finding out what wire corresponds to what function coming out of the distribution board. The PCB just has Chinese lettering on it next to each solder pad. I'm likely going to try and use a standalone light kit controller and wire it into the stock kraton receiver.

@@NachiRS2000 In my Community page, I posted a pic of the plug from the New Bright RC Forza Motorsport Cadillac V Series R light distribution that plugs into their board. I've identified the pinout. So you put + side to the bottom labeled +6V and if you ground "R Turn" the right turn light will turn on. Hope that helps.

CRINGE !!! before you destroy another model that you do NOT know how to fly, you should make and fly PAPER airplanes or cheap 'dime store' balsa gliders. in any case, you should be Trying to fly a low-mass model that flies slowly and can be controlled without ailerons. these are sometimes called a (three-channel) slow-flyer. (rudder/elevator/throttle) in order to not Need ailerons for turning, a model must have a sufficient amount of dihedral in its main wing. suggest you become familiar with slow-flyers via YT videos.

By all accounts, I not only managed to acquire the two best newbie flyers, but I got them used at great prices with insights from the previous owners. BTW, you can find many experienced flyers on YT that still experience flight failures. I've also talked to experienced owners that confirms this.

Since the Flitetest article states this pushes the plane to the left but my plane went right must mean something else? This was a super cheap used rc ($45) so a new more expensive one should do the trick 😉

Never tried it. It automatically stops once it's right side up so it must know the orientation.

I currently have a 4750kv motor mine but its cogging a lot before gaining any sort of speed. I'm looking for instant speed, What gearing do you use currently? The gearing I'm running currently is 21T Pinion to a 64T Spur. Something else is I have a issue with the dog bones constantly vetting jammed or just completely falling out. You have any recommendations to stop this from happening

The BL-2S extreme heavy duty drive would've been great if it fit the older Slash but it does not. The BL-2S ESC & motor is perfect replacement for the older brushed system.

I did this with the E-Revo brushless Stock CVD Drive shafts they are vey weak made. I shattered 3 CVD drive shafts in one shot. The torque from the motor was insane.

I have the Summit which I understand shares these parts with the E-Revo and I was breaking CVDs and diffs. I'll accept the blame since I overpowered it 😆 I have since made it a crawler and it is great at it!

Intentionally for my conditions. Still slightly faster then BL-2S out the box at 2S. Faster yet at 3 & 4S.

In first case, I upgraded the stock ESC to a 3S capable brushed ESC. In the second case - Arrma Vendetta chassis, I used a 2-6S capable brushless system.
