Thank you so much for such an easy to follow tutorial and pattern! It made starting a project way less scary. Love the knit along as well as the diagrams showing the overall plan. I completed my vest yesterday! (Though i got impatient with blocking and chucked it in the dryer so its a bit cropped atm 😅.)

I'm almost done with my front panel, coming here from the first video. I thought she would explain how she did the orange ribbing for the neckline and armholes but I don't think she does and I don't know how to do it?? does anybody know how please I've been working on the front pannel for like a month D:
@menaknitsАй бұрын
Hey, the ribbing is done after you join the front and the back panels (in part 3). Good luck!

I've been crocheting for almost 4 years and I've always been jealous of how much less yarn is used in knitting so I went to Daiso and bought a circular knitting needles and just started 4 days ago. I got the hang of the tension and this video is wonderfully slow enough for me to understand what is going on and following along as a beginner. Thank you so much for helping a lot of us into doing something fun

I just finished my vest and I'm weaving in my ends right now. It came out a bit smaller that I wanted but I'm just hoping it's going to loosen up (a lot) by blocking. To anyone reading this, how do you block your acrylic yarn knits?

This is great, although I think a couple things might help, I would hang them to spray them and let them sit (although the best would probably if you had mannequin bottom to put the pants onto then spray them) let them sit for 3 or 4 days, wash and dry and they’d probably come out pretty evenly lightened. I’m going to try it on a pair of darker jeans I have that I never wear because of the color. Thanks for being ballsy enough to try it for all of us

This is my first ever knit wearable, I started with crocheting and learning to knit just now and I just love how it turned out. I just wanted to say a big thank you for all the work you've put into this pattern from designing to making this super detailed walk through videos, it's amazing work. ❤ Please keep making more tutorials as you go because they're very appreciated!

Hi! So I'm at the 16 minute mark of the knit vest tutorial part 2 and just bound off the 2nd side of the back. Your video says you don't have footage of 'finishing' the back so do I go straight to joining the straps together or is there something else to do 1st on the back?

I’m not sure if anyone will see this, but why do we add 2 to the cast-on number that’s divisible by 4? Thanks :)
@johankavasinova19664 ай бұрын
I believe it's for the utmost side stitches. You can't do much with them, so it's easier to just put 2 extra then have to work with them too.

Nice clear instructions, but since you lose a stitch, do you compensate for that lost stitch when you continue knitting?
@jdb60265 ай бұрын
I like how this is knitted flat than in the round. I know everyone and their mother and grandmother prefer knitting in the round, but I can't afford to buy multiple lengths of the same needle size and their DPNs (or even an interchangeable set). I live in a country where ordering needles form the US or even Australia can be challenging. Magic Loop technique? We don't know her. I use braided wire circular knitting needles. That wire ain't magically bending + I can't be bothered enough to order an eighty-centimetre version online at the moment. If rather see seams that to spend more money on materials. 😅

I like how clearly you filmed your video, which makes it very clear as to the stitch and which direction you are inserting the needle.❤😊

For the decrease part, every single decrease should be a knit not a purl? And every opposite row should be whatever the stitch is below it? Even if it doesn’t fit the rib pattern?

Hi Mena, I really love the video. I'm fairly new to knitting, but with all the guidance I think I will be able to make this vest. Could I ask, regarding the pattern...both lots of instructions say "front of vest"...is the second lot of instructions actually for the back of the vest?? Many thanks Sue xx
