The question of why one doesn't use new technology to produce art is a bit naïve. Similar to AI generated images, things made entirely by a human will always carry greater meaning and value. The two serve different purposes and audiences. The act of creating provides something for the artist separate from what it provides to any sort of consumer and regardless of the tool(s) used. That's reason enough to pursue the more manual or traditional path. Then again, we have people flaunting their wealth by paying $6.2M USD for a banana duct-taped to a wall, so what do I know? P.S.
