I don’t like the film because he gets shot dead in the ending! Very disturbing and upsetting! This was a strange foretelling of what was to come. 😮

People being offended, upset, or even reacting to what John says is hilarious. Who cares? Are you 12? Let them talk.

No, not quite…John traveled to Spain and started filming around September 18th of 1966. Paul went to Africa around November 14th of 1966 with Mal Evans, not Jane Asher. (Jane did not accompany Paul.) However, it appears that no one has been able to peg or disclose Paul’s true whereabouts during John’s filming time period of mid September - early November 1966, not even Neil Aspinall (road manager). It’s as if Paul disappeared or went missing after the Melody Maker award ceremony on September 13th 1966. Poof! Interesting…

Lennon looks gaunt and probably in the throes of heroin and/or coke as many accounts of the time would support....just a sign of the times...as did many of the photos just pre double fantasy....nonetheless these are cool pics that i've never seen.......

People knocking John for his opinion I think he’s just being honest. He generally didn’t like his own music either. He didn’t really dress things up much and I think people take the wrong way, like he said he’s got weird tastes

Back when I was a teenager and bout my first guitar, I used to play songs from Self Portrait. It was the only thing I wanted to be able to do, was play a few songs from that album. 15 years later, I’m working on my 4th album and still love to cover Bob Dylan. I think Self Portrait is underrated. Even some of the songs dismissed from the Self Portrait sessions are masterpieces. Pretty Saro and Time Passes Slowly #1 are 2 to check out.

Lennon was right, though. Christianity is in decline. Church attendance is at record lows, and the non-religious are the fastest growing “religious” demographic.
