On the night John was killed, those Rolling stone reporters which had interviewd John an hour before, recalled a ride they shared with John and Yoko to the studio that fateful night. ., They asked John of his relationship with Paul, John answered, "Paul is my Brother, he would do anything for me and I would do anything for him". Yes, in the end the love they made was equal to the Love they had for each other.

John, Paul, George and Ringo were brothers from different mothers and nothing can ever change that, they weren't like other bands. I think they still all feel the same way about each other, the way they did as teenagers on the way up in Liverpool. They changed the world and without any one of them there would have been no Beatles, they were four intricate pieces to a fine watch that wouldn't have worked with out all four or with different pieces. They were great when all together, and great by themselves, but never as good as when all together. And I truly believe they will never be duplicated.

In 1974, with Yoko away, they were about to be close friends again. John was more relaxed, and they immediatly tried to make music together again. "A toot and a snore" jam session wasn't their best shot, even with Stevie Wonder in the cast, but at least they were trying and even in the pictures you coud feel a kind of peaceful mood. After that, it is known that John was keen to join Paul for some dates and concerts but with Yoko back, he suddenly refused. For me it's quite evident that, like in our every day mere mortels life, some women or let's say partners can isolate you from a more social life to selfishly keep you as close as possible..

Well, John was a full grown man. He could have decided otherwise. But he didn't. And it's a shame. His home recordings about "mighty McCartney" suggest, he was kind of jealous and regretted his decision to leave the music business behind.

And there's a kind of pattern, they're mostly talentless and of course into modern art, throwing randomly paint on a wall or shouting in a mic, wanting a share of their partner's real talent. You're right about John's jealousy, but it was more like a challenge with Paul, like two brothers. That's why he got back to music when he heard Paul's new song in a cab and shouted "fuck a pig, It's Paul".

And John himself mastered the art of not taking responsability, Julian's life is the best example for it. And maybe we should take art for what it is: A question of personal taste. It might not be your taste, but Yoko was and is an important performance artist herself and shaped art history with some of her pieces (Cut piece, Grapefruit Book, Bagism). And her art had a massive impact on John's songwriting process.

@@brianpratts Linda never stopped Paul from reconnecting with his friends or family. We have many statements from the staff who worked for Yoko and John that Yoko actively didn't allow calls from Paul, Mimi, Julian, etc. She told John not to travel to New Orelans to Paul because "the time was bad for traveling" and other astrological and occult stuff that would deter him from reconnecting with some people. It's not a coincidence that in the time John was with May and away from Yoko, he reconnected with Julian, Paul, Cyn, started calling Mimi, etc. You should really read some of the stuff their astrologist and employees wrote about their life in the 70s. As for love, if you read anything about John's diaries and statements of John's and Yoko's assistants in the late 70s, their marriage was in shambles. John was still seeing May from time to time and Yoko was having an affair with Sam Havadtoy. I'm not blaming everything on Yoko, John is a grown man, but he was struggling with a lot of mental issues and obvious traits of borderline personality disorder, so he was prone to co-dependent relationships. Though I believe Yoko had her own mental struggles too and it didn't help their overall pretty toxic relationship.

I mean he wouldn't have made the demo with a (For Paul) writing on it for nothing. I'm sure the beatles would have gotten together once more sometime in the 1980s. Maybe for a relief concert, live aid maybe? Move over queen. Or maybe just a surprise performance at a small gig. George harrison would have had to be in a good mood and likely asked from all sides to do it. I'm sure once they hit their 40s they would have wanted to relive the glory days/nostalgia/midlifecrisis. But what do I know.

Jack Douglas, who was Lennon's producer on his last album Double Fantasy in Summer 1980 and was working with him again in December 1980 when he was killed, has stated that he was aware of at least one meeting between Lennon and McCartney in 1980, and it was a working meeting- they were writing together. He went on to say that another writing session had been scheduled, but then when McCartney showed up he was told Lennon wasn't around and was sent away by Yoko. In turn Lennon was told that McCartney had never shown up. There's deliberate obfuscation about the entire late70s timeline of Lennon/McCartney contact. May Pang, who was living in a separate NYC apartment with Lennon has said that Paul was a very frequent guest in 1974. And that story about Saturday Night Live in April 1976 is a whole cloth lie Lennon said because it sounded good and McCartney backed because Lennon said it- McCartney was actually prepping a concert in Texas that night. When asked directly: when was the last date that you saw Lennon in person? McCartney answers “I don't remember”. I’d judge this one of the things he intends to guard his privacy to the grave on, and we're never going to know unless Lennon's diaries get published.
@yellyman54834 ай бұрын
They never wrote together after the Beatles. Jack Douglas is completely wrong. I don`t think John and Paul met in 1980. When John was interviewed shortly before his death he said that he had not seen Paul since Sean was a baby. Paul used to turn up at the Dakota unannounced, and that pissed John off, so one time when Paul showed up, John refused to see him. And after that they never met again. That is what John himself said in interviews. There were no mention of them ever having a songwriting session. There`s so many false stories. I tend to believe the stories told by the John and Paul, instead if listening to people who knew them.
@RS-nf4vz3 ай бұрын
@@yellyman5483 Certainly everyone must decide for themselves what they find credible. Jack was there, working with John day after day in 1980, he's one of very few people on Earth who was close to John in those last months. Perhaps the man's a liar, but me myself, I require a reason to charge someone with bearing false witness, and I'm not aware of anything else Jack has ever shared about John being proved false. John, he had reason to shut down questions about McCartney when he was using the media to promote his own new solo material, and refusing to share your private information with the public isn't really dishonesty. The story about watching Saturday Night Live together the night the money was offered for a reunion has been demonstrably proved myth by actual historical records of McCartney's location that night, and actual historical records win against ‘what John said’, and ‘Paul said it too’. And I've got to ask, just on common sense, because he said it you actually believe that Paul McCartney is telling the truth that he can't remember the last time he met with John Lennon alive and in person, rather than saying the simplest thing to stop the public from asking for private information he refuses to share?

@yellyman5483. You believe that bull****, you’re stupid. Nothing ever happened to Paul, he was involved in a brief car crash which caused crap being released by an American magazine. Billy Shears was never involved with The Beatles, doubt he even existed. How can someone be the spitting image of Paul, sound like him when singing or talking, also play the guitar left handed like Paul did? Those of you who believe the crap are a complete joke, us Brits don’t believe it.

You have to be dumb as a rock if you sincerely believe that Paul McCartney was replaced in 1966. And how do you explain Paul`s daughters dna test that shows she is related to Paul McCartney`s family? Did the McCartney family keep an extra Paul in the closet so that they could put him in the Beatles if the real Paul died? Give me a break.

I don't think it was what they were wearing, with John and Ringo, it was what they were drinking. Both into alcohol, looking puffy and overweight in the mid seventies. Paul was into his weed, yes, but he and Linda seemed to have a healthier balanced outdoor life. Being parents helped keep them grounded too.

That`s true. John didn`t seek anybody. If you wanted to have a relationship with John, you would have to reach out to him. He hardly spoke to his own son Julian when he lived in New York. He used to phone his old auntie Mimi in England and speak to her, but other than that, he didn`t stay in touch with anybody. He had two sisters, and a son he never spoke to. It`s sad. John missed out on a lot of love from his own family.

Exactly. But Macca wankers would have you believe that John was desperate to get back with PM. And now even PM is spewing this nonsense. He wanted John to be jealous of him because it would have given him some kind of credibility. Quite the contrary in fact however. "Paul is a great PR man" - JWL.

John and Yoko absolutely loved McCartney’s post - Beatles music and often sang his songs. Listen to Lennon sings ‘Ram’ and ‘ Band On The Run’ by Stevie Riks. As Lennon once said nothing is real😀
@dannyvine36055 ай бұрын
That Ram recording is a fake! For starters the recording sounds so far off Lennon’s Scouse accent it is laughable! Also the tape is supposed to be from Neil Aspinall. Thus it was recorded at Lennon 31st birthday party - it is well documented the songs that were sung and only one was from Ram (Admiral Halsey/ Uncle Albert).

@@dannyvine3605 Danny, that’s what is so hilarious. It’s so obvious from the outset that it’s fake.
