 @lolgeselle Hello!! I'd like to ask a question, would I have to take the same specialty test every year (always) and have proven signature of another registered sonographer under ARDMS?? I'm from Puerto Rico and some sonographers have passed SPI under ARDMS.

I have been thinking about going back to school for sonography for a long time but I'm super anxious! It would be an hour drive to school for the program closest to me:( I've been out of high school for 7 years and I'm just super nervous and unsure if I should commit!

I had to come back to this video and say that I’ve been watching this video on and off for a few days, and I aced my sonography interview!!! I start the program in January 2025!!! They actually asked me what the difference between Radiology & Sonography is. They also asked me the pros & cons of sonography.

Great vid! I’m a LMT with 14 years experience. I average $55-$150 an hr between working at a spa or my own business. Only bad thing is we have our slow moments. I’m looking to continue as a LMT but also get licensed in sonography. I am also a X-ray tech. So pretty well rounded. I’d like something where I am not standing all day long and less physical.

Hello! I’m interested in majoring in diagnostic medical sonography with a focus on neuro sonography. I have a fascination with the way the brain functions. I’m wondering, does a sonographer only take images of the body or do they also have the opportunity to analyze the body, or, in my case, the brain?

Thank you for this video and explanation.... I am waiting on my ultrasound results. I am a 56 year old female with APS (antiphospholipid syndrome). I was diagnosed at age 28 and been on coumadin ever since. I am very fit and healthy. No problems since then until a throbbing/heartbeat type feeling in my lower left abdomen area for a week now. No pain. After my doctor felt and heard it as well, she sent me for an ultrasound yesterday. I'm hoping its not an aortic aneurysm and I can tell by the look on her face she doesn't either. I know the tech couldn't tell me, but man it's hard to wait. She told me I should get my results within a couple days. My scans are actually in my health portal, weird to look at them. You guys are amazing! Thank you for all you do.

@ Found out I do Not have an aneurysm, phew!! All areas they checked are normal size and no bulging. However, I’m still getting weird involuntary like fluttering on the left , middle area of my lower stomach for a couple weeks now but my doctor doesn’t seem to be concerned now that the ultrasound didn’t show anything. I’m just not convinced since this is something new. I may bug her again but not sure what other tests I can ask for.

Ultrasound: soft tissues, operator dependent, we write up cases, we are identifying anatomy. Xray: bones, air, gas, tendons, positional, has radiation involved, quicker than an ultrasound

I don't understand why it's "go, go, go" aren't these scheduled appointments?
@lolgeselle
@lolgeselle 18 күн бұрын
not all are scheduled but even when they are, it's go go go to get your next patient in .. we have usually 30 minute intervals for scans that can take longer than 30 mins -- thats how it can get backed up.. sometimes patients show up late or the offices double book sonographers

I have a question. To become a sonographer, do you have to attend a college with a sonography program? And if you do, would you have to major in something while you wait to get accepted? Lile biology or anatomy? And if you dont get accepted, what would happen in that instance? Im a 12th grader and im considering entering the field, but theres so much information. I dont know where to start tvtvtvt
@lolgeselle

You will find out all programs are different. But most colleges require you to take pre reqs classes to get into the program. So you'll take basic classes like English and math before applying to the ultrasound program! I have videos on this on my channel. :)
