Nicely thought out. Noco's low battery voltage sensing turns off the power supply. Just turning the booster pac on does nothing unless you also press the overide mode as well for those wondering why its not working 😉 👍

I work on new cars as a job and have been pondering how to make a user friendly way to deactivate the annoying features they come out with these days. Most of the features will turn back on with a key cycle. Im thinking the best way would be to tap into each of the off buttons with a controller box. On ignition on, the box cycles through a set output procedure to turn all those features off. It could be a tidy install behind the dash thats set and forget. It also could work for turning features on that default to off like cruise control and auto hold on some cars. Most of the switchs are around 5v so easy and cheap to drive.

Otherwise, what a find.... and I don't drive my Diesel much anymore.. so it should last forever. I live in Oklahoma, and we use sand in the winter snow, not salt. Good choice and congratulations. I agree with you on most things, except the port injection argument. Port along with GDI is brilliant that's why Toyota does it and save you in the long run. Follow the same with 2018 4runner. Yes, 2018 might be a better vehicle (arguably, since 4runner is still old school and technology), but old cars strong and reliable, no desire to replace them with cheap new cars.
