Having just taken one for a test drive yesterday. This is wrong. In ev mode there is zero delay in throttle response (especially in sport mode). The throttle response is exactly the same as other evs. In hybrid mode there is a bit more of a throttle response like you get in a conventional petrol car. However. No where near as delayed (we recently had a vw t roc as a rental and the throttle delay was appalling compared to our ev), I would say in between the two but closer to ev throttle response than ice (if that makes sense).It is a bit softer around corners than my Kia ev, but still not bad compared to other utes. It does have a little of that Ute jutter when unladen but nothing like a ranger. It does also have an 11m turning circle. Which is insane for a vehicle of this size. Which I tested several times around mini roundabouts. As for trade ins. What you’ve experienced is the norm in Australia now I’m sorry to say. I’ve been offered way less trade in value on a vehicle than that by different dealers. They will all rip you off. I had one admit trading in isn’t worth it and take the time to sell your old vehicle yourself. He was right. I got double what was offered as trade in!!!

Let’s get real please, are the water tanks full, was there food, bedding and clothing in the van, did the van have an ensuite, how many hills did cover. The van you tested is a light European van. Put an Aussie van behind it and tell me the range. This test is a joke.
@DamianCandetti29 күн бұрын
the idea is to work within the limits of the car, most caravans would be completely out of the weight limits. Yes it did have the water tank filled and yes it does have a full ensuite as shown in the video. As for driving hills, this was just a short look into it and we are currently in talks with Camper Agent about doing a 5,000k trip towing the identical van behind the BYD Shark. hope this helps

Hi Ross, I am only bringing videos at no cost to show things I find that are new and interesting. I would never tell anyone to sell their van or buy this car nor do I care if they do. There are very few caravans I would take to Cape York, but could you imagine how narrow minded it would be if everyone just wanted to buy the best 4x4 caravan and car setup when most wont leave the black top. every one is different and it is up to you to use discretion when watching videos to see if what its showcasing suit your lifestyle.

This is a typical BYD accelerator style, because BYD's philosophy is to try to make the driving feeling of EV simulate ICE and not make the driver and passengers feel dizzy. It is said that all BYD cars will be adjusted to some power delays, including U9. If you want quick throttle response, you can switch to racing mode

You are not "choking" a diesel. The throttle control moves a fuel supply rack and "off" merely cuts the fuel off. If it is starting OK, then it does not need a pre-heat device, but very cold mornings might require a squirt of "Start Ya bastard", to give it a kick.

Looks like LeCornu Furniture's old logo on the pylon sign copied off a former furniture store chain from the USA, Levitz Furniture. LeCornu Furniture's old logo has had a logo design identical to Levitz Furniture in the USA, consisting of a cursive script letter "L" inside an oval, along with plain italicized sans-serif lettering either spelling out "Levitz" in the USA or "LeCornu" in Australia. LeCornu Furniture never had any relations with the Levitz Furniture store chain. Even LeCornu Furniture's commercial jingle "Love it at LeCornu" sounds very similar to Levitz Furniture's commercial jingle "You'll love it at Levitz".
