Wow! Feeling so grateful. I had just listened to you on the Non-Duality Popcast with Nic and was so blessed by that and related to everything you both shared. I had “stumbled” upon IFS a while ago but longed for its blending with the non-duality understanding. That sharing with Nic was such a welcomed & joyful discovery. I was wonderfully overwhelmed with love & gratitude. And this meditation sharing of yours was equally welcomed and appreciated. Blessings & thank you ☺️🙏💖🦋

Laura and Sid, thanks so much for creating the community! I love your meditation videos, Laura 🙏 And thanks Sid for your videos, really helpful and inspiring 🙏 What is the academic paper about the evolution of the self Sid mentioned? I found e.g. this one: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7902028/

Thank you - it is very meaningful and helpful. My parts like your videos - they feel like an unobtrusive guide and reminder of things that are actually the important ones. And it's also simply a beautiful idea to just keep asking parts what they want, throughout the day, gently and with no agenda. That's very centering.

Yayy, a celebration of your parts. What do they want. Loving care.

What if instead of the active exercise of resistance on our part what is going on instead is the result of our attention being magnetised towards the negative end of the experience spectrum? And our suffering comes from the ignorance that keeps our eyes locked in that position while just as available as that pain stand the cues of okayness.
@SonOfNone25 күн бұрын
A few [possible] answers: ●The presupposition is incorrect. ●There are forces greater than we, perhaps challenging us to rise above our current standing, or perhaps even something more. ●It's all just chaos, and we are choosing to look at the negative disproportionately to the positives in our life. ●We [or many of us] are chasing "happiness" instead of "meaning," inevitably "suffering" which is the opposite of "happiness." Meanwhile, one can "suffer" as a building block or stepping stone toward "meaning" without feeling as though they have failed/are failing.

Yes, but...🤠 I strugle with this for years...I kiss frogs as much as possible, allow, accept, but boredom of work, my job, , restlesness, pain, suffering, discomfort...why these frogs are still frogs, not princess? 🙂

I know. And can even that be welcomed? As well as the restlessness that is looking for more results and change?what is here if all is welcomed as is?

Loved your explanation. I have experienced all 3 of the views. The last view you speak of reminds me of alchemy, when the energy of a part is totally and completely digested it morphs into its opposite ie an angry part morphs into pure joy. It seems what a part wants the most and is longing for always morphs into the expression of one of the characteristics of Self.

I loved this, thank you. I looked at myself in Zoom while I listened to you on another screen. I appreciate you bring up the parts that come up about how I look because that's something that happens to me also and then reminding us that's not how Self looks at us. It reminds me to listen to the Self and the part that wants to be different.

Thank you so much. I understood what you were saying and I'm new to IFS and Effortless IFS and I started showing up at his Sid's free workshops when I can. It does get me in touch with the Ocean of Self and that Ocean helps lead my parts. I'm excited about this journey -- to see where I am, my parts are in the months to come.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:27 *🤝 Integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a key interest.* 01:10 *🧠 The 6th Tipping Point in IFS involves listening for what's truly wanted, similar to identifying universal human needs in NVC.* 03:28 *💡 The 7th Tipping Point in IFS is about recognizing what's already present, such as peace and love, without external conditions.* 06:46 *🦒 The giraffe symbolizes connection and seeing innocence and beauty, while the jackal represents desperation and unmet needs in NVC.* 09:32 *🧭 In NVC, the giraffe listens for underlying needs when the jackal expresses criticism or judgment.* Made with HARPA AI
