Did you see Alexander play this piece when he was so young. Fantastic. He just sat down and the music poured forth from his fingers. Astounding. Fantastic profound. The Golden Boy. Beautiful music from such a quiet, dedicated young man. He's done them all -1, 2 and 3. and so many others. He is a legend in his own right.

And I think the rest of elementary school and all through high school She probably felt like she didn't look good that she probably Felt she looked ugly so she felt she needed to Cover up her freckles Because she was embarrassed she didn't want people to see them because I made her feel that way about herself And now I'm 32 years old and looking back I do feel horrible that I made her feel bad about herself you know And I think that's children kids do say things that they don't mean, and in my case it wasn't I didn't mean it It's just my older sister it is the way it came across, and you know Now she's almost 34 years old and now she doesn't care what people think of her Because when you go to college and you've finished college and that you start to see and you start to realize that People want to be around you no more to be friends with you because of how you treat people, you treat with kindness and respect and compassion empathy for somebody That really makes people want to be around you, it's never about how you look on the outside and I think she realized that overtime So yeah so she knows her true value she knows that yeah she may not look like the most prettiest person ever But that doesn't seem to bother her anymore and it shouldn't bother anybody, because it's not about how you look True beauty is on the inside it's who you are as a person And the true value of somebody is who they really are as a person, and I think a lot of people need to be told that Because I find even young adults get so caught up in their looks and they have to make themselves look good for somebody else And you don't like that I don't think that's right I think people should just love and appreciate themselves for who they are Because we are born we were born for a reason, and you know we're born with our for a reason And we should cherish that and value that we should value ourselves, not run from who we are Because at the end of the day you are who you are you can't hide it you can't hide your true value We can see who you are as a person so it's like why even bother trying to hide yourself and make up and you know trying to make yourself look better When you know you should just Love yourself and cherish yourself for who you are?

So yeah I feel like I made her insecure and I made her think that she looks strange You know I made her think that she didn't look nice, that was my intentions and that wasn't the way I really wanted it to come out But it came out like that to her at the time, and you know of course I'm 32 years old now At the time I was probably like eight or nine years old she was probably like nine or 10 years old And now I'm 32 years old and she's I think going on 34 this year 34 years old my older sister And you know when kids are young kids say things that they don't mean, and sometimes if they do mean it They don't realize what true value and true beauty really is

And you know I think like it was in the winter time that she had come upstairs And of course they were talking about her freckles not and I asked her to come to me because I wanted to tell her something And I was talking up something funny that I thought was funny at the time, and I said to her that her freckles look like dirt That you know what's all that gross stuff on her face and oh boy did she ever cry And ever since then the day after that she didn't want anybody to see her freckles so she even know when she was nearing the and of elementary school She wore makeup she started to wear make up to cover it up and even all through high school

You know OK I'm gonna tell people in the comment section about something that I said to my sister years and years ago When we were little kids like not like little little but I think maybe with my sister she was about nine or 10 years old And she developed freckles on her face well we were on the Christmas vacation at my grandparents house when they noticed that And I guess they told her that and of course she never thought anything of it

I love this scene. In the original scene, I think in the books but definitely in the BBC version, Aslan appears and says “You have been guilty of the sin of jealousy.” And Lucy gets bashful, and then they resolve it and she leaves, somehow transformed? In this one, Lucy TOOK the page, and actually got her wish, and experienced what she thought she wanted, but realized it was awful. And Aslan comes, and instead of preaching some referendum on her, he explains WHY jealousy is wrong. “You wished yourself away, and with it so much more. Your brothers and sister would never have known Narnia if it wasn’t for you. You discovered it first, remember?” “You doubt your value. Don’t run from who you are.” Now THAT is powerful. It’s saying the same thing, but I leave this scene crying, and I left the other scene rolling my eyes. Here’s the difference “You have been guilty of the sin of jealousy.” Vs. “You wished yourself away and with it so much more. You doubt your value. Don’t run from who you are.” It’s the same thing, but one is just saying “Don’t do something.” And the other is saying WHY you shouldn’t do something, what’s going on when you are jealous, and how it can hurt so many people This was one of the parts that the modern Narnia did a phenomenal job with. Lucy’s jealousy temptation. So powerful

MUSIC SCENE (YorkshireTV;21/6/76) This was shown as part of the music programme "Music Scene". It was made to teach teens about incedebtal music in movie/TV scores, thats why the music in this is so prominent/annoying.

This show must've been exclusively aired in Britain. I loved British TV on PBS but never saw this.
@FrithonaHrududu02127Ай бұрын
The reason the music is so prominent is because this was made by as a 1976 episode of "Music Scene" a music show for ages 13 to 16. I guess the idea was to show the way that music is used for scores abd such

Notice how Aslan doesn’t compliment her looks, which is what she was seeking to change. Instead he looks past that and reminds her of the strength of her heart and mind, where her true value lies. She was so distracted by the outward that she forgot what made her special in the first place.

Well I think specially women when we were teenagers I remember Years ago when my sister developed freckles and I made fun of her for them for I made her feel insecure and about how she looked
@leighhoppins92735 күн бұрын
I remember saying to her that her freckles look like she had dirt on her face And I kept saying that it was just a joke and I guess I took it too far and when you're young You don't realize how sometimes it affects your siblings you know, and sometimes it can make them feel like they don't look good And that's why they were make up a lot my sister were a lot of make up to cover her freckles all through high school And you know as she got older she's about like I think she's gonna be 34 this year 34 years old And yeah I think when a lot of people have some things said to them at some point whether it was a joke or to be serious It destroys their self-worth and insecurity and they don't feel like they look Great on the outside And they do start to doubt their value for who they really are and for what true beauty really is But how we get older we learn that it doesn't matter how we look on the outside, the reason we have friends the reason people like us is because of how we treat other people If we show kindness respect, compassion, and we're nice to everybody no matter how they're born and who they are as a person Then other people see that and they don't care about how we look you know people get drawn to how somebody treats another person That's the true value of somebody it's never about how they look, and I think when people get older And when they do get a sense of belonging they start to realize that it isn't because of that's why they develop friends Is because of how they treat other people that's what the true beauty of somebody is,

And when your little and this was before Lindsie was in high school my sister Lindsie Right she didn't even go to high school and she developed freckles all over her face Looking back even though I'm 32 years old you know when I still think about it I feel horrible That I made her feel like she didn't look good, it was not my intentions to do that it was just for a joke I feel horrible about doing that to her, and get older you realize how stupid you were and how awful it was Because I didn't know I didn't know anything about what True beauty really was at the time, I always thought that Beauty was how we looked on the outside And I guess I thought maybe she looked kind of funny you know kind of weird, so I decided to make a little joke about it and I took it too far I made her upset I caused her to develop insecurity and feel horrible about herself that's why she wore make up all through high school And looking back I really do feel horrible about that really do feel stupid and ashamed of myself, but kids are kids that's what kids do Especially to their siblings you know, they say things that are not very nice and then when they get older They remember and they look back and they Think of all stupid they were even saying that and it makes them feel horrible That is life that is a part of life sometimes kids say things that they don't mean They probably mean it at the time but then later it's like how stupid was I for even saying something like that In my case it wasn't meant to be taken seriously I didn't know that she would take it that way it was meant to be joke I never thought that she looked weird I just thought it was funny and that's all you know But I never ever ever thought that she looked weird or strange but that is the way she took it, and I feel horrible But I think now she realizes that it doesn't matter about how you look it doesn't matter if she has freckles or you know what people think about her She doesn't care anymore she care about what people think about her because she knows That value a person's value isn't about how they look it's about who they are as a person

Remember sisters in Christ, beauty is something only the world wants. God doesn't care how you look, in His eyes you are His child, wonderfuly made, and wonderfuly loved. You don't need makeup to hide you'r "ugly face", because that's what people want. What God wants is a sincere, and humble heart, He cares about what's on the inside rather than the outside. If the world judges you for not wearing makeup, not wearing jewlery, -or worse- not dressing in a sexual way (to call it like that), don't be discouraged and don't listen to them. God still loves you, and he doesn't care about how you'r face or you'r body looks. He cares about you'r heart. God bless you! ❤
