How can we find 2nd order derivative or nth order derivative using approximation method?

This was an excellent lesson. I hope you decide to follow up with videos on transformations of linear regression models and/or the power law as it relates to certain probability distributions.

I feel so incredibly stupid; I am trying so hard to improve my mathematical ability and yet I still struggle with basic algebraic operations. I do not understand where you got 9pih^3 / 3*64 from. Please can someone simply break down the process to obtain this equation from 1/3pi * 3/8h^3. I would be incredibly grateful!

Before anyone replies, i think im getting closer. I just realised its not 3/8*h^3. The square is on the outside of the bracket thus the 3/8 is also squared giving 9/64. so im doing 1/3 * 9/64 *h^2 * h (which is then h^3) * pi. Also, every whole number can be considered a fraction over 1 so you place pi and h^3 on the numerator along with 1 and 9 and the 3 and 64 on the denominator. Cancelling removes the 3 from the denominator and reduces the 9 on the numerator to a 3! I think i have it but can someone confirm?

Too long. You can quickly notice that one eigenvalue is 1. The the trace = 24, so the other λ's add to 23. The determinant, after R3-R1-R2, is 14*(4-1)=42, so their product is 42. That gives 2 and 21.

Very easy to understand, but…you get the roots from looking at a graph you can’t generate during an exam so I’m guessing the graph/ intercepts will be provided?
