I was 13 and was in love with motocross/supercross. Jeff Ward and Ron Lechien were my favorites b/c I was a Kawasaki guy, but this is the greatest supercross race of all time. I really didn't like Ricky at the time, but was a fan of David so I wad happy he won.

Pretty cool to see a race here in Atlanta back in 1982. I was probably 4 years old if this was in January or February. I turned 5 in April.

The 1st and only Cleveland Supercross. Cleveland probably had a Supercross because they knew that Municipal Stadium would be closed and Demo'd after this Race. Meaning that Cleveland wasn't a serious SX City like Pontiac, Anaheim, or others. I wish I kept the Program and Ticket Stub from it.

How this is true motorcross people!! Like to see 😢these boys now a days run with these boys.i tell you right now they couldn't keep up these boys. I race in the 80s and I race to this day. My bike is so fucking fast and easy to ride. Those bikes back in the day were hard to hang on too!! We have it so easy now a days its not funny

I love the old riding gear designs (like Glover's). I'll speculate that if one of the apparel manufacturers today made a line of that old style (reflecting the bike brand), with basic colors, there might be a huge market. Not a fan of the clown suits that advertises the clothing manufacturer today.

One of the announcers, Mike Goodwin, the founder of SX, is in prison for the murder of Mickey Thompson and his wife Trudy. It took about 10 years to convict him, but a sister of mickey Thompson saw it through. I was actually able to find her phone number back then, call her, and congratulate her.
