Yes we are in house number one, but we are looking for a second home here in the near future. Will Creek is a nice area and that whole region will be basically the middle of the villages at the rate they’re going. Congratulations on your purchase and thank you for watching our videos.

The grid and power lines are outside the village neighborhood…the new style they’re building by the lifestyle homes are very interesting…we just drive by those today like the back of an oriole designer on the side..you’re not looking at another persons lanai either so it’s nice. It elongates the home. We’re not worried about the jail either…it has fences and lights and a lot of popo. Love it down here for sure.

Groovy episode. Some of these new home designs look somewhat bigger than most of the older home models, and more original, designer looking. Some of the best looking homes I have ever seen in The Villages. However, as for the homes next to the massive power plant; who in the hell would want to live next to those ugly and possibly dangerous things? I can't see anyone wanting to look out their windows and see that cheap. If they were smart they would of put the power lines underground.
@retiringtothevillagesflori1973 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching, I guess people look at it in the sense that at least all the powerlines running to the houses are underground. I’m not sure if there’s much anyone can do about power stations like that. There’s just such an eyesore in the idea of putting $400,000 houses or more up around that area just seems odd to me But that’s not gonna stop people from buying. I can guarantee that..

Curb appeal seems to be lacking on the new designs. No front door? Just a garage and a small window? I don’t get it. Am I missing something?
@retiringtothevillagesflori1975 күн бұрын
The Villages is famous for hidden front doors, there is, but it’s more to the side depending on the model. Some of those models do you have a front door that you have to walk to. So it’s a mixture. But these garden villas remind me more of courtyard villas. These types of homes just don’t have a front door. That’s usually front and center like most traditional homes.

Frank, the homes you were looking at in beginning of video in Well Point are called Garden Villas, they are a new style and will have gated courtyards accessible from the street side of the home. They are about 1900 sq feet and will range in the upper 400k to mid 500k. Walked through them very dark with little natural light and horrible views of neighbors wall from the lanai areas. Think they look ridiculous and built on top of each other even more than normal for Villages homes.

They can redesign the outside, but open concept leaves little room for variety. They all pretty much look the same, some larger. You drive down the street and see a bunch of garages. The ones that are nice are the older ones that have been somewhat customized. I’ll take any one of them.

Interesting new design. I like the new driveway so you have less grass to worry about. The grass is terrible anyway and is prone to bugs which leads to more expense and possible fines. Plus you get two lanais. I would rather have a prison 6 blocks away than a neighbor with a barking dog, which seems to happen more often. Glorious video, Frank! Thanks

They are a new style of home called Garden Villas, walked through them about 2 weeks ago. Not very appealing to me, very boxed in with side lanais that face 5 feet from neighbors walls. Will be 4 different floor plans all with fenced yards. Some have a two car garage on one side of house then on other side is a golf cart garage. Prices will be 400-550k is what I was told. The model we walked in was very dark very view windows other then some transom windows in living room but not much light as neighbors wall is right outside. Be interested to see how they are received by prospective buyers.
@tomr.29079 күн бұрын
Frank: I enjoy all your Villages video and commentary. At 9:18 you suggest the street may be named “McDowell Loop”, based on a tag on a 4x4 wooden post. I think “McDowell” may actually be the name of the general contractor who is building these patio villas in Wasters Edge. I think the street names for that section of about 48 patio villas in Waters Edge include: Frimpter Place, Even Lane, Hegler St, and Shayla Terrace. Without actual posted signs, the street names can be confusing. I look forward to more video. Tom
