Thanks for the update this morning 🙏🏻 Us “snowbirds” are obviously concerned (I live in Newell and will be back next week for the winter). Obviously, we’re relying on neighbors and KZbinrs, like you, to assess the impact of Milton. Glad to see no flooding in the roads, but I’m sure the retention ponds are high. Knowing the Villages, everything with be back to normal in a day or two. Thanks, again 👍🏻

There were entire palm trees downed near Lake Sumter. Their roots looks fairly shallow. Thanks for the update.

Not sure where it is but there are 2 trees on the road that were knocked down. And the streets were filled with things last night about 1230 am. So they’ve cleaned up early

The Villages (TV) WOULD have seen more damage if Milton had stayed on course and bulls-eyed it so the full force of Milton wasn't experienced. But even if it had been, I'm guessing TV would still survive it pretty well, especially as there apparently wasn't any flooding issue. That's one huge (!) reason if I were to move to FL (Plan B presently) Central Fl would be the location, not on or anywhere near the coasts. Have no interest in "living on the beach (did that in Galveston TX during Hurricane Ike) or near a beach. So for me, TV would mostly likely be the 55+ community I'd choose (or OTOW/Del Webb Stone Creek secondly). Nice to see the "Villagers" had very minimal damage. 🙂 -- BR

Yes, we are truly grateful for the infrastructure engineering that has gone beyond Florida code. May not be 100% full proof and perfect but it did hold up pretty well.

I just rode around near Chitty Chitty, and then my own village of Bradford as I didn’t wander out very far.
