Ohh, there’s a few dozens tunes from Samantha that are incredible. Her live versions of her songs are the best. I’ve been fortunate to see her live and stand about 3 feet from her. She is the real deal……gives her heart and soul to every show. Take a listen to the live of, “Bitch On The Run” ……..it’s about her dealing with the ugliness of the music towards woman. Glad you were digging her stuff.

“Heilung” is the German word for healing, it contains the old word “heil”, which means something like luck, success! But it also applies in the context of “whole/complete” - if something is broken, you colloquially make it “heil” again (whole/complete - repair it) - in other words: "Heilung" (healing) restores the wholeness/completeness of the body/soul! It also appears in the German word for „holy“ (heilig)! But there are also opposite meanings - “Unheil” (bad luck, ruin, misfortune) or “heillos” (unsuccessful/hopeless/helpless)! The word “Heil” gained negative notoriety through Hitler and the Nazis, who used the term in the “Hitler salute” or as “Sieg Heil” - i.e. the invocation of a successful victory! Even today we still wish a hunter a successful hunt with a “Weidmanns Heil” or a fisherman a good catch with a “Petri Heil” (Petri is the abbreviation of Petrus, the patron saint of fishermen)! Before Christianization, many religions in the Celtic/Germanic/Nordic cultures of Europe were still strongly connected to nature - similar to the North American natives - (sacred groves, sacred trees, sacred springs, lakes and swamps, depending on the region also sacred mountains - they were both places of worship and places of sacrifice)! Of course, animals were also worshipped, such as: bear, wolf, eagle, raven, deer, wisent (the European bison), aurochs, also called ur, a Eurasian wild cattle that was already exterminated in Europe in the 16th century, etc.! The German words "See" (lake) and "Seele" (soul) have a common origin - lakes were often seen as a gateway to the afterlife, a passage for the souls of the deceased! A small side note on the pronunciation of “Heilung”: In German, “ei” is like the English letter “i” or the word “eye”. In German, the letter “u” is pronounced like the “ou” in “you” - if you were to translate the English pronunciation of “you” into the German spelling, the result would be “ju”! The “H”, “l” and “ng” correspond to the one in the word “healing”! Phonetically something like: H-eye-l-ou-ng!

The fact that Sabaton makes songs like this is better than any medal that these people have been awarded. This way you will be better remembered than a disdainful award.

A junior shaman in training her whole life. Many miss the fact that the little girl is holding a dead bird in her hands. She bows her head, speaks some words, and when she opens her eyes the bird comes to life and flies away. In the end she becomes a trained shaman and is merged with her animal spirit guide. Note, the Muskox had been there since she was a child. Maybe the older shaman used the Scandinavian herd calling voice to summon the spirit animal (?).

Not quite. In the old stories, gods are born during a solar eclipse. This is also the case with Anoana, who provides protection from the dark forest. At the next solar eclipse, she unites with her spirit animal, which she was looking for in her childhood (e.g. the moose in the forest). In the story, there are two shamans. One female and one male (the two singers). asa og vana

these guys were the best of the best at the time, and before cream they were among the most sought after session men on the london scene, and they came to the usa to show everyone how it was done. super loud too, huge marshall amps; i also think all three were probably on heroin at the time. for such a short-lived group, they made a ton of money.
