I really fuck with Horsegirl, but I have to admit, there’s a huge lack of Chicago influence in the noise rock scene. No bands are influenced by the Jesus Lizard, Big Black & things like that, and it sucks because there’s no noise rock coming out that makes you perk up & go “dude, what the *fuck* is this?” Not trying to be bitter, but bands like horsegirl leave me a bit disappointed because it feels like genre regression more than expansion
