I don’t want to be a ”Zappa police” and I appreciate your effort, but… ”Bogus Pomp” from ”London symphony Orchestra vol. ll” is 24:32 and quite a few other symphonic releases is of considerable length. Cheers

Billy The Mountain's geographical and individual personality references changed from city to city. Flo and Eddie's jobs were to do all the research and put it into the performances.

i dont really agree with counting phaze III as one song, but if you wanted to go further with this there are longer billy the mountains on Mothers 1971, the longest being 36mins, and if we’re combining tracks to count them as a single composition, the longest one is actually on Carnegie Hall, which is about 47mins. there’s also wild love from the last show of Halloween 77, which is 30mins, there are a lot of enormous dupree’s paradises, namely the first disc on Zappa/Erie, which would technically be about 36mins, and if you count the last three songs on disc one of The Road Tapes 2 as one large dupree’s, that would be about 40mins. there are probably even like hour long versions on some live bootlegs from 1974. okay, thats enough nerding out
