Betting can be an investment if you spend the time to become good at it. For a person who is commited at it it is a safer investment than stock market and cryptos. A pandemic or a war can fuck up your investment without doing any mistake there. On the other hand, betting is finding value on odds on a specific sport event.

I tried to replicate this in football, what you guys call Soccer. In argentine's first league, away win percentage is greater than home win percentage. So, when I make the simulation, home team goes 35% and ELO 74.43%. Away team goes 64.69% and ELO 25.57%. What am I doing wrong? I followed every step

Why don't you just admit you are not smart enough or hard working. Crying because it takes you 30 min to cap a day of MLB over automation? People work 8 hours a day in factories or worse. Put effort in. I failed over, and over, and over, and learned at each failure. I finally have models that work for MLB and NHL. NFL and NBA the market is sharper, but you CAN make money. I do very well now for 5+ years. You just are not smart enough to work harder. LOL at your monte carlo sims. Talk about step 3 of 5000.

I don't understand your garbage time criterion - you said "8 times the number of remaining possessions times 1" - so you don't need to multiply by 1, since anything times 1 is just that thing. I think you mean , suppose the losing team is behind 24 points, you would need 3 possessions to tie and go into overtime, so estimate how many remaining possessions there are and see if there are 3 or more of them. I suppose some teams play fast and some slow, so that must factor into it as well, or maybe you can just use a league average to simplify the process?
@MrCoreyTexasАй бұрын
instead of multiplying by -1 at 13:38, you could have just reversed the order of the subtraction. In other words instead of a-b, choose b-a.

Still working my way thru this, but I feel like some of this stuff like getting more turnovers away than at home is just a matter of luck, even if you add in more seasons.

The abbreviations on the Raws page are a little confusing, sometimes "O" means offense, sometimes "O" means opponent. Still an invaluableand impressive video, what you did a few videos back really paid off with the ability to plug and play, and just throw all those stats in.

doesn't visual basic have the idiom x += 1 so you don't have to type out x = x + 1 where x is a long ass thing?

You take advantage of differing odds on the same event across multiple sportsbooks, placing bets on all possible outcomes to guarantee a profit regardless of the result. It's not hard to make money betting on sports.

William, would love to see a video from you explaining how the oddsmakers determine the lines. Spreads and O/U. More often than not they are always right on the number. Blows my mind. Would love some insight or background info on what they do to set the lines. Keep up the good work

William, is it possible to develop a stable matchmaking system with just 2 years of ghoul stuffing? No. Similar to your excuses for your own failure, we hear from amateurs every day, but it does not in any way indicate that the 97% are right. It is a highly competitive activity, and to win against your opponents you must have Olympic-level training.
