I am thoroughly convinced the main reason 95% of people lose money, is because they cannot properly manage a bankroll. They can't handle the mental and emotional swings, so they bet too big for their bankroll, or they play too many games that any edge is whittled down.

@cfrey1988 Exactly that. It's not that you can't win at gambling. It's that the qualities required to do so are rare in most people. PATIENCE DISCIPLINE MONEY MANAGEMENT CONTROL OF EMOTIONS NO CHASING LOSSES The 5 pointers above are the reason over 99% can't win. If someone has a decent system and all of the above. They can most definately profit longterm. Its been my living for nearly 8 years.

Just found this channel, good content man. I happen to be profitable so far but I’m fully aware it’s a risky venture and most people typically will lose at it, my goal is to show I can be profitable for an entire year. And to speak to your point about not wanting people to be ruined financially I fully get that, I’m very strategic about how I bet and keep my sports betting funds separate from my other money.

Once again, the TRUTH from SBT. Winning money long-term in sports betting is difficult, if not impossible, especially for the average guy. But only SBT is honest enough to say so.

Another great commentary. We’ve gotta stay grounded as amateur bettors. This content helps with that.

I kind of agree with him. How many guys/gals % wise are long term consistent winners turning a profit betting sports ? I am gonna guess such people are like maybe 1 in 200,000 ? Think about that. 300 mil people in the country and say 20% bet. Thats 60 million people IF 1 in 200,000 guys can turn a profit thats means there are no more than 300 guys vs 60 million who can do it. And that 300 number might be way to generous. Just to visualize ONE in 200k ? You fill Yankee Stadium to Capcity FOUR Times there is ONE person there ( In four combined capcity crowds ) who can do it.

It's estimated that it's 1% or lower.

@@SixthSavior yes my estimate of 1 in 200k might be a little to stingy but have heard from some pretty creditable sources it not more than 1/2 or 3/4 of 1 % that means you take 1000 guys and 995 or 996 of them are LOSING MONEY

Also these guys that want you to play their picks ? What a Joke ! Why ? so they can get a bunch of people playing the same plays as them thus the line moves and they lose any edge that may have exsisted. I cant believe most people are so ignorant/naive of that.

Agreed sports betting makes you not profitable in the long run. America needs to introduce Betting Exchanges like in the UK. Over there you don't bet against the bookies but other people. You only pay a small percentage to the bookie. There is still a small group that end up profitable, but the percenatge is much higher.

@@raemanmusic yea but the volume of money played is probably pretty small.

@@alivstyson1864 It's not, I've bet on all these platform before I switched to Forex Trading & Stocks. The reason was because the gambling laws changed in my country forcing out this way and only allowing these bookies. The popular sports have millions traded. You can see on each market and games how much money is in the markets. The US 2020 election had around $127 million in the markets. The bet volumes are super high. The more popular the sport the higher the amount. Even the lower less popular sports have a good liquidity. Unless you're going to bet in Zambian or Nicaragua football league then obviously it's going to be much lower. The top winners make well over Millions a year. And keep in mind that Betfair is restricted in a lot of countries and it's mostly Irish and British people on there. Imagine if it was an American company with the buying power of the USA and population that is 5x bigger than UK and Ireland and they would also allow foreign gamblers? Betfair Exchange is the perfect model like sportbrokers (Pinnacle, Spormarket Pro etc) which even gives you more access to more markets. I am so suprised how Americans are not familiar with this. Who ever first open this type of business in America is in.
