There's one thing on my mind: where did you find the audio tracks for this clip and for your another clip about Yundi-Lang Lang comparison? There're two available versions of Lang Lang playing La Campanella, one for an encore, another one for his album. Both versions are over 4 minutes. Of course, this clip provides none of them, because the audio length of "Lang Lang's" performance is less than 4 minutes in this clip. For your another clip comparing Lang Lang and Yundi playing Fantasy Impromptu, that clip makes me more curious. On both KZbin and BiliBili, I can't even find one video showing Lang Lang playing Fantasy Impromptu completely, and he just played specific sections in a ceremonious event. How did you actually get these tracks? Or did you just find a whatever track and put a "Lang Lang" label on it? Lang Lang's performance can be over the top sometimes, but he rarely plays a piece in that emotionless way. That's not his style. He can make a mistake, but never a mistake like that.

Lang Lang chose a similar tempo as Gilels and Ashkenazy did in playing this piece. I'm not sure what the problem it is to choose the unleashed-horse tempo which can be a valid manifestation of fantasy. By the way, what's the point of highlighting "reason" or "elegance" in this piece that features "fantasy" and "impromptu"? Yes, Yundi's version flowed more reasonably, while Lang's version flowed more unexpectedly. It's pretty clear to me in terms of which one is more robotic. Also, please don't overuse the word "musicality" which covers many aspects of musical ability. If you judge a person as being more "musical" only because he/she demonstrates more melodic harmony, then Franz Liszt's etudes and lieders must be unmusical pieces based on such a standard. "Musicality" is way more than melodic harmony. Try listen to Chopin's prelude op. 28 no. 2 which is nothing about harmony!

As much as I love this movie, it's hilariously inaccurate The rebel forces had modern weapons as well, including mortars and guns It also paints the rebels as patriotic heroes fighting for their way of traditional life, which appeals to a lot of westerners The reality being a LOT of samurai modernized and joined the Imperial army, and the rebels were mostly landlords who wanted to maintain power over their class privileges and indentured peasants.

Ok so I listened to both ( different iPad) line by line one behind each- one line LL pause , Yundi pause, fearing that that I may not be able to tell all the subtle difference- I am a lover of Lang Lang and you can hear his happy persona and mastery in each note as usual - For Yundi Li I heard his soft, somber serious persona- for this piece I love soft -flow -sweetness- tears- so am going to give Yundi Li not that he is better but I prefer his interpretation
