Cool games I've played this year (not necessarily released this year): SolSeraph, a 2D side-scroller and kinda city building sim in the style of ActRaiser. Romancelvania, a mix between dating sim and metroidvania. You play as Drac and have to choose between different monster girls (or boys). Honestly it's very rough around the edges and the console version doesn't have a fucking map (I'm pretty sure Steam does). It's mainly fun because of the silly story and characters. Balatro, which is fucking crack, like Vampire Survivors. Timespinner, a cool PS1-looking metroidvania where you travel between past and future. Final Vendetta, classic beat'em up action. Short but fun. Mechstermination Force is kinda like Contra or Metal Slug but it's all boss battles (at least I think so, haven't played it that much, but I'll go back). The bosses are all giant robots. RetroRealms: Halloween and Ash vs The Evil Dead. This one was glorious. Super fun, full of easter eggs and fanservice, difficult but fair (for the most part). Really, really good. And playing as Michael Myers? How can I say no? Massive Chalice, an XCOM-like game where you have to defend a kingdom and create different lineages. A little simple, but has its own charm. Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, a cool and kinda short soulslike. Story not that good, but I loved the combat. Persona 5 Tactica, another kinda XCOM-like but with Persona 5 characters. Really cool and super cute art style. Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, this one was the best metroidvania I've played all year. For me, it was a masterpiece. Great plataforming, stunning visuals, and cool combat. Almost perfect. Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth is probably the best game I've played all year. As a fan of both turn-based RPGs and Yakuza games, this was perfection. Amazing game from beginning to end. Lots of stuff to do. You even have a whole side game that is kinda like Animal Crossing and another one like it's kinda like Pokémon. Crazy substories and fun little minigames too. The one that's kinda like Crazy Taxi was super fun.

Man, your videos are always so cool. I find this one kinda chill too. Have Iron Meat but haven't played it yet. Go fucking play Vampire Survivors, man. It's always cheap, has a lot of content and even has a Contra and Castlevania DLC.

Yessss I was waiting for this review to drop. You didn't disappoint! Definitely gonna check this game out. And $30 full price isn't even as greedy as some other modern remasters that get put out. Aces all around

You know with all the remasters coming out let's hope they do the smart thing and finally remaster Parasite Eve 1 and 2 or at least release those

I remember when this came out i had 2 cousins one had tenkaichi 1 and another one got sagas. The gap between them was significant. 😂 I still consider Sagas one of the worst dbz games in the series. And ive played Dbz games on the Gameboy color 💀💀

Thanks for this retrospective of the fighting game cult-hit Weaponlord. Even though I own the SNES cartridge, nowadays I find it easier to play it on my PC via the Snes9x emulator. It looks especially nice when using the 6xBRZ plugin.

I bought this game at launch for my SNES and have been playing it ever since. It's certainly much better than the SNES version of Killer Instinct that came out around the same time.

Didn't know (or remember) you were a man of culture knowing Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star. That game looked REALLY cool. Quite a few cool looking games to be honest. Most of them.

Rugrats was my jam back in the day. It's kinda crazy they are just dropping a new game right now though. I'm for it. Nice review mate.

I think you're right about Ultra Street Fighter IV & Ultimate Marvel V's Capcom 3 for the reason you said, they are still selling both of them on new age systems but! What if the earlier iterations of these games would be on it instead???

Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition. It's not available on modern consoles, but is the best version of Street Fighter III and it is in HD. Maybe a new Street Fighter Collection would make scence, incl. also all three EX titles and the version of Alpha 3 you mentioned and Street Fighter X Tekken. But it only makes scense for titles that are not available on modern hardware.

Really not liking this ultra clean look of modern 2D games.

The part where you say "Slam Masters is another series stuck on its original release"... ummm... depending on what you mean by that: not true. There's a thing on modern platforms called Capcom Arcade Stadium. The *first* Slam Masters is on that (the second one isn't, unfortunately).

I will tell you 3 GAMES YOU MISSED. I think they are the GREATEST for ONLINE COMPETITION. I already Twitted about them to Capcom, but is good more people knows about them cause they are kinda at the obscure side and IF YOU CAN CREATE A VIDEO ABOUT THEM it COULD HELP A LOT. Back in time of the classic XBOX, PS!, DREAMCAST and GAMECUBE, capcpm created a concept called FOR MATCHING SERVICE that menas games optimized (for that time) for online competition, just 3 games were released but they were kinda like the ULTIMATE VERSION IN CONTENT for each franchise related to this concept. 1) At 2006, CAPCOM released at the PS2 an exclusive Title of the STREET FIGHTER franchise , even to these days, cause to begin with, almost no one knows this that game exists, even between the users that bought and owned the game, cause it was an UNLOCKABLE game, and the requirements to do that were a long list. HYPER STREET FIGHTER ALPHA. was included at STREET FIGHTER ALPHA ANTHOLOGY and the concept placed all characters VERSIONS from ALPHA 1, 2 and 3, in one GIGANTIC ROSTER. After choosing a character players could even choose wich kind of gameplay, Power bar or ISM from all the alpha games will use with their character. The game included almost everything but missed just 3 things in content : Just 4 or 5 Backgrounds were available at this game, since it was game created for ONLINE matches, back in time, those stages were kinda low detailed. SO it would be amazing if Capcom could add ALL STAGES FROM ALL THE 3 ALPHA games. Also the music was also cutted at the original version, so if a final release with all BGMs included from all the ALPHA games, it will be the DEFINITIVE version we deserve. Finally , this HYPER VERSION didn´t included the EXCLUSIVE GBA and PSP characters. So is they can Throw there MAKI, YUN, EAGLE and INGRID to the roster...guys , no one will ever need any other version of any ALPHA game. I WILL CONTINUE WRITTING ABOUT THE NEXT GAME at a FOLLOWING MESSAGE.... if you answer this one

I wish Street Fighter X Tekken would get ported or even a remake.

I'll be honest tho and this might be a hot take but I don't like UMvC3. Every time I watch a tournament match of this game, there's always a touch of death. I prefer MvC2 far more and while there are also touch of deaths in that game too, I don't see them performed nearly as much as UMvC3. Plus I prefer the sprites, music and beautiful backgrounds of the game over anything 3 has to offer.

Big Slam Masters fan. So, the SNES version got rereleased in the Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium a few years back and is playable on Switch. The Genesis version was not included in this and is a VERY different game. Then, the sequel was only released in arcades in Japan. So while Saturday Night Slam Masters does have a playable version on the Switch now, There's a lot of room for improvement and including the unreleased sequel to the US would be fantastic.

The only condition I like accept Darkstalkers as guest fighters in Street Fighter is if they’re non-canonical guest characters. No “Darkstalkers is now a part of the SF universe” because then they’re nerfed to hell. Final Fight and Rival Schools being connected canonically is okay but making every fighter as such just cheapens things. Personally I’d rather get a new Darkstalkers before making them guests because it won’t make demand for a new entry rise, people would simply be all “why bother now?” Jon Talbain IS a great character and it’s insane Capcom hasn’t created an entire series around the concept of “Kung-Fu Werewolf”. Not only should he be headlining a multi-game action series, he should be guest-appearing in franchises like Devil May Cry (alongside BB Hood) and Monster Hunter.

Capcom needs to come up with their own horror-themed beat-em-up, perhaps with characters from Resident Evil, Dead Rising, Ghost n Goblins, and Darkstalkers fighting the hordes of undead & monsters throughout all franchises. Call the game Final Fright. You’re welcome to have that for free, Capcom.

How about they give us alpha 1 and 2 with online play which is something they should’ve done 6 years ago with the 30th anniversary

If you're including Heavy Metal and Spawn, I would also mention Gotcha Force since it was also somewhat of a hybrid between a TPS and a Fighter. Having that game in a modern collection would REALLY help in the used game market as Gotcha Force goes for obscene prices now. Also, what about Rival Schools or Star Gladiator? Their sequels are in FC2.

As you can see they don’t have really a 3 if you look at this one they added again street fighter alpha 3 a game that was already released on street fighter collection capcom is done after marvel Vs capcom collection the punisher should of been added with the best em up bundle that included final fight it has nothing to do with X-men vs street fighter
