COOL GAMES I PLAYED IN 2024!

Cool games I've played this year (not necessarily released this year): SolSeraph, a 2D side-scroller and kinda city building sim in the style of ActRaiser. Romancelvania, a mix between dating sim and metroidvania. You play as Drac and have to choose between different monster girls (or boys). Honestly it's very rough around the edges and the console version doesn't have a fucking map (I'm pretty sure Steam does). It's mainly fun because of the silly story and characters. Balatro, which is fucking crack, like Vampire Survivors. Timespinner, a cool PS1-looking metroidvania where you travel between past and future. Final Vendetta, classic beat'em up action. Short but fun. Mechstermination Force is kinda like Contra or Metal Slug but it's all boss battles (at least I think so, haven't played it that much, but I'll go back). The bosses are all giant robots. RetroRealms: Halloween and Ash vs The Evil Dead. This one was glorious. Super fun, full of easter eggs and fanservice, difficult but fair (for the most part). Really, really good. And playing as Michael Myers? How can I say no? Massive Chalice, an XCOM-like game where you have to defend a kingdom and create different lineages. A little simple, but has its own charm. Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, a cool and kinda short soulslike. Story not that good, but I loved the combat. Persona 5 Tactica, another kinda XCOM-like but with Persona 5 characters. Really cool and super cute art style. Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, this one was the best metroidvania I've played all year. For me, it was a masterpiece. Great plataforming, stunning visuals, and cool combat. Almost perfect. Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth is probably the best game I've played all year. As a fan of both turn-based RPGs and Yakuza games, this was perfection. Amazing game from beginning to end. Lots of stuff to do. You even have a whole side game that is kinda like Animal Crossing and another one like it's kinda like Pokémon. Crazy substories and fun little minigames too. The one that's kinda like Crazy Taxi was super fun.
