I'm super late on putting this one up but I wanted to take a bit of time to talk about the Guest characters that are now coming to Street Fighter 6. In short, I'm kinda disappointed but that didn't stop me from basically making the bulk of this video about what guest characters could potentially come to Street Fighter 6 in the future.
I made this before Terry was fully shown off and I won't lie, my stance has kinda softened on the guests in SF. I can be hype for them since Capcom always does put an insane amount of work into them. So, come along with me nerds as I pick guest characters for Street Fighter 6.

I think the best characters to add would be more from SNK or Arika. Capcom and SNK have plenty of development overlap so having Terry and Ryu side by side hardly feels out of place, if at all. Getting some ol' EX characters back in the same game with the SF cast would be pretty great and still feel consistent. That would be as far as I would go, since I'd prefer Year 3 to be Makoto, Dudley, Urien and Alex or something, Rose, Hugo, etc. Along with guys like Kyo or Skullomania to back them up and we'd have a pretty sick roster

I would love solid snake venom snake or big boss as a guest and terry ken ryu talking about how they fought mister videogame himself would be really cool moveset potenial is also big he could be a trap set up char or a comandgrab dude and use the knife and could have really unique projectiles or DI cardbox man it would be sick and samus for re enigne if it needs to be fighting games than i go with sub zero because i want to see ice in re engine and maya from killer instinct this game deserves more lovd

The only condition I like accept Darkstalkers as guest fighters in Street Fighter is if they’re non-canonical guest characters. No “Darkstalkers is now a part of the SF universe” because then they’re nerfed to hell. Final Fight and Rival Schools being connected canonically is okay but making every fighter as such just cheapens things. Personally I’d rather get a new Darkstalkers before making them guests because it won’t make demand for a new entry rise, people would simply be all “why bother now?” Jon Talbain IS a great character and it’s insane Capcom hasn’t created an entire series around the concept of “Kung-Fu Werewolf”. Not only should he be headlining a multi-game action series, he should be guest-appearing in franchises like Devil May Cry (alongside BB Hood) and Monster Hunter.
