Christian here, this was an unbelievably beautiful video. I'm from rural farmer America, but I spent a lot of my post high school pre career traveling and being exposed to other cultures. The most beauty and human kindness I've ever felt and seen was Muslim majority countries and eastern European countries. I just wish more America opened their eyes and get to see we share this big Earth, we all have beautiful cultures to share here.

I think this Hajj series is the best you have ever made. Both videos were informative, touching, and emotional. Thank you for taking us with you on this journey!❤
It's really a mix feeling seeing this series as an Indonesian who work in Saudi. Happy, sad, laugh and tears all at the same time watching these pilgrims from my hometown in Makassar with their custom and culture. For us Moslems from Makassar and South Sulawesi in general, going for hajj is like one of our main goals in life. People may save money for years just going for Hajj. You may find many of them living in a very modest house, but they manage to pay for the hajj fee. The queue for Hajj in South Sulawesi is among the longest one in Indonesia. You need to wait for up to 47 years if you register this year in 2024. So, no wonder they might celebrate it as if they act like a champ coming back from the battle with a victory once they land back home.

Amazing, and what makes it more amazing when you know that just 100 years ago Pilgrims from Indonesia (and other Muslim countries in Asia-Pacific region) took the same trip by sea. At least 1 month voyage, and many didn't either make it to Mekaha or the trip back home. Travel by air is for sure, in my opinion, is the most important invention in the human history.
@Adeltaarabt175 ай бұрын
Totally agree. There is even footage on KZbin of pilgrims arriving by boat. But also the reception was totally different. People being transported by camels to their “hotels”. What a time that must have been, but also what a time to be alive.
@mansourbellahel-hajj53784 ай бұрын
Fun fact the one who discovered aviation was a Muslim his name was Abbas ibn Firnas but he wasn't successful in his invention but it was a study case that helped build up by the likes of Leonardo Da Vinci and he discovered air balloons since he saw that fire lifts the flying machine then the industrial era came by the year was 1903 Wright brothers after years of design were successful in creating the airplane aviation but at first was for military uses and wasn't until the after ww1 to ww2 that the airplane was used for commercial purposes and the 1950s the leap became higher until today.

One of Sam's informative video, but this one at a different level as it tells a lot! Firstly, the 747 is still the Queen of the Skies with such a beauty and might. She may be 'old' but no aircraft compares to her. Secondly, it tells about the complex operation flying thousands of pilgrims during the hajj season, this flight being one of them. Finally, the viewers come to know that there are people who are faithful to their religion and who cherished this once in a life time pilgrimage. Thank you Sam and the crew of the flight.
